doubleipa (219), Georgia, USA Aug 29, 2008 Appearance: dark amber. Aroma: great big pine and grapefruit. Short aftertaste and dry on the tongue. Holdwine (828), Beertimore, Maryland, USA Aug 21, 2008 Boy, I hate getting bad kegs to sample. That’s the only conclusion I can come to when I see these other ratings. On tap- nice piney nose....and then.....hops run amuck, and not in a good way. Couldn’t even finish it, too much better beer around. roder_60 (872), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 17, 2008 Poured a very nice deep clear red color with a froathy offwhite head that lasts a long time. Rustic earthy hop aroma and flavor. Very dry and bitter. Can feel the alcohol burn. Overall, decent. kramer (1875), sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA May 7, 2008 On tap @ Duncansville. Pours a very dark amber to orange pour with a small foamy head. Nice citrusy and floral nose. Moderate to heavy bitterness and crackery toasted maltiness with a long lingering finish. Medium bodied with a fairly creamy soft texture. Nice soft carbonation. Overall, the best of the bunch of 8 beers I had that night. illinismitty (1419), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Mar 1, 2008 Draft at Allison Park. Pours copper amber with a creamy, retentive off white head. Malty aroma fused with floral and citrus hops. Malt profile of dark caramel and brown sugar that is overpowered by a bitterness that carries through to the finish. Some faint alcohol detected. I found the hop profile to be a tad harsh and abrasive.
