kramer17801 (1835), sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA May 7, 2008 On tap @ Duncansville. I’m really glad that somebody added this to the site after I had it, cause I didn’t write any description down and it wasn’t listed on the menu, so I had no idea what I was drinking at the time. My closest guess to the style at the time was a Smoked. Pours a hazy yellow straw body with a minimal head. Pale crackery maltiness with a minimal smokiness. The flavor is a little thin up front with a little smokiness and a slight twang on the finish. Pretty limp mouthfeel with soft minimal carbonation. Overall, as a Smoked beer I thought that this was pretty weak. I wish that I would have know the whole story behind this one while I was drinking it. Hey Marzoni’s! Get this info onto a menu so people know what they’re drinking!!
roder_60 (788), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 17, 2008 Pours an extremely hazy light pale yellow color with slight fizzy white head. Aroma is very very grassy with a bit of citrus. Flavor is grassy like a dortmunder, tart but not fruity. Dry and a bit bitter. Slight smokiness to it. Overall, interesting. Linus_Stick (1459), Moon Township, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 13, 2008 Updated: Jun 15, 2008Another great by East End. This is the ultimate lawnmower beer. Nice floral aroma with light malt and yeast in the background. Pour was a nice medium gold with a 2 finger white head. Taste was very drinkable and refreshing. Light malt and smoke in the front that gives way to a lactic sourness in the aftertaste. As I had more of this the smoke gets stronger. A definate plus! Little carbonation, but the flavor stands on its own. Some yeast and lemon come out as it warms. Great beer! mulletman69 (6), USA does not count Jun 5, 2008 orgasmic... sour, with a smokey finish... beautiful beer... and one of only two breweries in the world to brew a beer of this style scott is the man Naka (362), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 1, 2008 A very interesting brew.
