COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This was brewed using only mash and dry hopping. It starts with a mild malty sweetness followed by a nice floral flavor and finishes with just a mild balancing bitterness.

UPDATED: APR 30, 2013 Draft at the brewery. Hazy light yellow colored body under a tall, fluffy white head. Instant dank hop nose of pineapple, fresh cut pine, lemon zest, and a touch of clover honey. Fainter taste than smell, it’s smooth, and while it’s not oily I would say it’s "liquid-like" and smooth as it rolls back on the tongue. Nearly no harshness to the malt - very simple and very nice, and overall it tastes a bit like wort, with some crushed grains and greeness, but most of that is pretty mellow. Taste is fruity and lightly bitter, and the play of the hops on the tongue is different than anything I’ve had, and very different from the nose. Wet but not moldy, thin but not watery, there’s hops all over this thing but the bitterness is surprisingly low. It’s an interesting experiment.

Had at Jean Bonnett’s and Marzoni’s .. pours a deep gold orange .. good foam .. lacing was good .. . when i had it first, to me it seemed like a slightly hoppy marzen, quite a sweet beer .. tasted crisper at marzoni’s, M.A liked it quite a bit .. had with my first meal at JB’s- thick cut potato skins, filled me up

FROTHINGSLOSH (4943) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 11, 2009
Sampled from a growler at a ratebeer gathering this beer poured a hazy yellow-golden color with a small white head. The aroma was light with fruity and floral hops and had a faint nutty undertone. The flavor was sour, tart and nutty with a lightly fruity hop presence and a touch of caramel. The finish was medium length sour nut. Decent.

This poured a cloudy yellow color with a white head. Aroma was surprisingly hoppy for what this beer is, nice notes of fruity citrus hops. Flavor was a little let down compared to the aroma. Flavor was mlid fruitiness, a nice blance of malt, but not too sweet and then a surprisingly lingering small bitterness.

UPDATED: AUG 13, 2009 Recently had this too, at the RBtasting 2009. On tap at the Marzoni’s in Allison Park near Pittsburgh. Very nice beery aroma, sweet without the hint of alky strongness. Ubiquitous pale yellow color and appearance. Swirling carbonation visible within. Has a very slight haze. Friendly and light on the taste buds after the session begins but during the commencement I thought I had an inkilng of bitterness on the palate. Below avrage carbonation. Good finish, well mannered and not offensive in the least. Not bad Marzoni! Nice session brew even tho it is above 5%, you’d never know it.

Draught at brewery and from growler. Great grassy and floral aromas, with piney notes, light raw coffee fruitiness, and citrus zest. Mild malty sweetness but predominantly an aromatic melange of hop characteristics from grassy to fruity to spicy. Fresh and a bit earthy. Hazy medium amber body with a thin foamy lacing off-white head. Medium watery body with medium carbonation and a tangy bite. This stuff would be great on cask. Starts mild, with light malty sweetness, pilsner malt and some caramel. Good dose of carbonic gaseousness and some medium acidity. The hops really come through and are accentuated by the carbonic acidity. More subtle notes are muted even further in favor of resin and grapefruity notes, a hit of spiciness. Lots of hop flavor but very litle in the way of bittering. The finish leaves some ozone and acidity on the tongue, but that chalky, teeth-shattering bitterness that normally accompanies highly hopped ales is just not there. Mild bitter sweet after.

Growler, courtesy of acrdz. Thanks, Mike! Pours a hazy, golden-yellow color with an orange tinge; thin off-white head with patchy fine-bubbled lacing. Very sticky, wet citrus and floral hops in the aroma; some honey. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: slightly relaxed carbonation; chewy, zesty citrus hops at the front of things; a lively acidity that helps the lightened carbonation from the growler; pleasant yeastiness and some honey at the core; pretty tasty, lively american pale ale. Medium finish, showing wet malts, honey, and breadiness; a touch of lingering citrus.

Courtesy of acrdz. Pale/orange body with a small white head. The nose is bready, honey pale malts with light citrus, tangerine and pine hops. Lightly sweet, lightly bitter flavor with cotton candy, honey, pine, grapefruit and a dusty yeastiness. Medium/light body is round with moderate carbonation.

Draft at Allison Park. I was able to try this one fresh before it was put online. This have a very nice citrusy melon aroma. Pours a cloudy golden amber with a white head. Medium bodied with a nice refreshing texture, and somewhat soft carbonation. The malt profile is of light toffee, wet grains, and honey with a flavorful but non-aggressive citrusy bitterness. Slight acidity on the finish. This is an interesting take on the style and is very enjoyable. If there is such thing as a lawnmower APA, this would be it. Best beer of the night.

On tap at John bonnet Tavern, clear golden color, not much head or lacing, lots of grape notes and very light and refreshing, like a hopped Pilsner
