Deep black pour. Creamy tight tan head. The nose is intensely chocolatey with a lovely light earthy cocoa flavour. A touch of light savoury character. Herbal and a bit chewy Slightly bready with a great balance of roast and sweetness. Lingering bitter roastiness. An excellent stout.

On tap at Marzoni’s on our way to RBSG. Pours a deep black with lots of roast and coffee, with a touch of oatmeal sweetness. Medium bodied, creamy with a tight bitterness. Nice long roast bitter finish.

Perfectly cocoa aroma, nice barley, chalk, peanut. Love it. Nice carbonic flavor, marshmallow, a smidgen of sweet lactose. Charcoal. Very dry. Excellent traditional stout.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at brewery. Dark brown with a tan head. Faintly green nose mainly of fudge, also light coffee and alcohol. The flavor has less chocolate, more roasted malt, and exhibits an odd green plant note, almost pine-like. The body is way too silky and thin for the large flavors, so this could use some boosting. Still, I liked it.

Sample at the brewpub. Black pour with a medium light brown head. Creamy oatmeal nose with dry roast and some dark fruit notes. Flavor is dark fruit up front with a bit of sweetness, transitioning to a bone dry roasty finish. Nice complex stout.

Tap, sampler glass.
Dark opaque black in color, with no aura appearing around the edges of the glass...thick. Coffee, and roasty toasty malts on the nose. Bitter coffee flavor, dark chocolate, espresso, toasty malt, dry on the tongue. Decent stout.

Sampled at beer night at the Coney. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, and butterscotch. It is a complete black hole by the looks. THe flavor is creamy coffee caramel latte with a little molasses and some fruity characteristics. A decent thick body. Nothing too over the top but really tasty.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
I felt that this was the best of the marzonis brews I tried BY FAR. Pours a jet black color with a large amount of froathy browth head that stays. Aroma is roasted coffee and cream. Flavor and mouthfeel are very very creamy and smooth. Dry roasty flavor, slight coffee taste - like a slightly more bitter guiness.
