I felt that this was the best of the marzonis brews I tried BY FAR. Pours a jet black color with a large amount of froathy browth head that stays. Aroma is roasted coffee and cream. Flavor and mouthfeel are very very creamy and smooth. Dry roasty flavor, slight coffee taste - like a slightly more bitter guiness.

tap @ Marzoniís - arouma is roasty, chocolate, espresso. Body is a bit disappointingly thin. Dark and malty with some coffee bitter. Smooth and tasty.

On tap at the brewpub in Altoona. Pours black with a thick tan head. Aroma of chocolate malt, lactose, light roasted malt. Flavor of light roasted malt, bitter chocolate, sweet malt. A light, sweet stout, pretty good. Very drinkable. 7/4/8/4/14 (3.7/5)

Draught at the brewpub. Pours black with ruby edges and an eternal tan head that leaves excellent lacing. The aroma is very roasty with lots of fresh coffee notes, some chocolate, and even a very vague vanilla-y bourbon hint. The flavor is dark caramel and coffee at first, then gets nutty in the middle and leads to a sweet finish. Silky mouthfeel.

On tap @ Duncansville. Pours a dark brown, almost black body with a wispy brown head. Nice roasty nose with a good bit of coffee. Great roasty and coffee flavor, with a burnt malt finish. A little bit watery in the mouthfeel with moderate soft carbonation.

On tap at Marzoniís on our way to RBSG. Pours a deep black with lots of roast and coffee, with a touch of oatmeal sweetness. Medium bodied, creamy with a tight bitterness. Nice long roast bitter finish.

On tap at brewery. Dark brown with a tan head. Faintly green nose mainly of fudge, also light coffee and alcohol. The flavor has less chocolate, more roasted malt, and exhibits an odd green plant note, almost pine-like. The body is way too silky and thin for the large flavors, so this could use some boosting. Still, I liked it.
