1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20 Ungstrup (24024) - Oamaru, NEW ZEALAND - FEB 17, 2007
Draft at the brewpub, July 2006. An unclear orange beer with a thin white head - looks like a Hefeweizen rather than a Belgian Wit. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of wheat and banana. The flavor is sweet with notes of dish wash water and wheat. Very German in its expression, definately not Belgian.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 duff (5483) - St, Margarets, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 8, 2006
Tap@Mash, London. tastes mor e like a German wheat, has that more robust wheat and estery fruit character, however it remains quite thin in the mouthfeel. Some clovey citrus characters towards the end.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 anders37 (9919) - Malmö, SWEDEN - AUG 14, 2006

Draught@brew pub.
Light amber color, small white head. Light citrusy nose with hints of coriander. Fruity but only lightly spicey. Sweetish, lots of banana in the flavor. Some toasted caramelly notes too.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 chriso (7065) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 23, 2005
On tap (keg) at Mash, London, October 2005. Another insubstantial offering from a bar that clearly values style over substance. No discernible wheat character whatsoever. Thin and very lightly spiced. Bland to the point of anonymity. Inoffensive is the best I could say for it.
1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20 SilkTork (4738) - Rochester, Kent, United Kingdom, WALES - OCT 16, 2005
Aug, 2005. Mash Bar, Oxford Circus. An impotent withering wheat beer lacking in body, substance, flavour - anything resembling character. My granny can eat her shreddies and piss a better wheat than this. Muggy, muddled flavours - some caramel, some wheat - touch of band-aid, hint of warm, woody spice, some rottenness. Not good.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 argo0 (9265) - Washington DC, USA - AUG 24, 2005
Cloudy golden body with creamy white head. Aroma is medium sweet, orange peel, cardemom. Taste is medium sweet, apple, light herb, orange peel, cardemom, a bit of alcohol. Watery light-medium body.
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 Sickboy282 (1109) - San Diego, California, USA - MAR 8, 2005
This had to be the worst hefe-weiss brew that I have ever had. Spiced like a wit, this had the most buttery flavor I have ever had. Almost undrinkable.
