4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tasting @ Cellarbrations Carlisle Carpark Brewday.
A pastel shade of orange and sparkling with good head retention.Quite floral is the aroma with a backdrop of passionfruit, lychee and peach. Predominately hop driven on the palate with a dousing citric fruit tang and vinous, herbal backend. Moderately bitter and briefly earthy before more fruit and flowery notes fade off in the swallow. Very clean, very lean and oh so well done. Enough malt to fill it out but this is kept in the shadows by the lovely use of hop in this one. Done well to create something just plainly sessionable. Mash has done well with this one. Perfect harmony of hop and malt in a beer that should be on tap at everyone’s local!!

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Copper & Oak Liquor Merchants 260416. Good combination of hops and malt make this is a beer that is worth seeking out. Easy to drink with plenty if fresh fruit aromas, think mango, passionfruit and each. Medium body with a light refreshing finish. I wouldn’t say that this beer is challenging to me but I guess it may be to some.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Tasted 1/4/2016. Draught at Mash Brewery, Henley Brook. Poured a crystal clear amber with a one-finger white foamy head that retained well and laced well. Carbonation virtually nil. Aroma subtly of malt with no real hops presence (compared to the Mash Pale there is no hops). Tastes of sweet malt and a hint of hops bitterness. Light body. Smooth and clean with a very slight bitterness on the finish.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Brown/Amber with cream coloured mid sized head. Tropical fruit aromas, earthy hops and a strong caramel note. Citrus and stone fruit favours, with a lingering earthy hop bitterness throughout and a balancing lick of caramel towards the end. Slightly over carbonated? Love the English style. Can more brewers please do this style.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
5.8% ABV. English IPA
There is no discernible nose and not much of a head. Poured a very rich clear golden hue which was promising; coloring is about 14-16º SRM. For me, this is one of the most inviting colors that an ale can have. It suggests a thirst quenching, refreshing good time.
The mouthfeel was a little soapy with a pronounced carbonation. This flavor immediately reminded me of a traditional chinese meat roll, Ngoh hiang, redolent with Coriander and fennel. There was a refreshing tang of lemongrass near the end. Full of estery, spicy flavors. This was a very nice ride.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Banana and clove - almost witbierish on the nose and tasting. Adding into the mix is pine and an aniseed note in there. Lingering subtle bitterness is pleasant.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours Amber. On the nose it's very malt driven with hints of roasted caramel. Small head in the pour with more carbonation than I was expecting but disappeared after a minute or so.
Tastes slightly fruity with overpowering roasted caramel and nutty flavours. Hop bitterness evident with a bitter lingering finish. Nice drop!

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Restrained example of the style. More like a Pale Ale than and IPA in my book. But an enjoyable brew nonetheless.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours an Amber colour looks very clean with not much visible carbonation. Thin off white head. Good bilut reasonably subtle aroma - citrus and grassy hops, am getting a whiff of pineapple in there somehow. Tastes so grassy. I mean, other beers have grass flavored hops but this is unique in its devotion. Also getting pine flavours. This is ultra dense, almost a syrup. Almost no carbonation but a ridiculously good mouth after feel.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Thanx Addie for the bottle.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a nice hazy paled orange color with a film of a quarter fingered white foamy head that dissipated within less than a minute. There was some light speckled stringy lacing here and there.
The smell had a generous amount of a tropical fruitiness with a decent complimentary apricot coming about in the aroma.
The taste was moderately sweet and resinously bitter, sour? Maybe...but acceptable at least to me.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent but also somewhat smooth harshness (does that make sense to IPA drinkers?) Hmmm...okay, maybe to me. There’s nothing wrong with what these guys do.
Overall, okay, I think this is my first IPA from the country/continent of Australia. Good job! I’d have it again.
