4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tasting @ Cellarbrations Carlisle Carpark Brewday.
A pastel shade of orange and sparkling with good head retention.Quite floral is the aroma with a backdrop of passionfruit, lychee and peach. Predominately hop driven on the palate with a dousing citric fruit tang and vinous, herbal backend. Moderately bitter and briefly earthy before more fruit and flowery notes fade off in the swallow. Very clean, very lean and oh so well done. Enough malt to fill it out but this is kept in the shadows by the lovely use of hop in this one. Done well to create something just plainly sessionable. Mash has done well with this one. Perfect harmony of hop and malt in a beer that should be on tap at everyone’s local!!

2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Dark amber colour with off white head. Aroma is predominantly pineapple. Flavour is light tropical and stone fruit which moves in to an unpleasent caramel malt. By themselves the components are OK, but together seem odd. Finish is one i’d rather forget, bitter then sweet. Missed the mark for me,

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
A beautiful dark orange colour that hints at the orange taste to come. Citrus flavour continues to end but the NZ hops come through. Great bitter finish that lingers nicely. Does seem more US west coast than English but regardless is a fantastic beer.

Reasonable attempt at an IPA, although hopping could be improved upon. Pours with a quality head and appearance.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hand pump @ Belgian Bier Cafe, Eureka, Melbourne. Product description is accurate with this one. Good balance of caramel malts and tropical fruity hops with a decent bitter finish.
A nice easy drinking English-style IPA that packs a punch.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
330mL bottle. Pours clear golden with and off white head and a nice resinous tropical fruit aroma slightly similar to hopwired (a very good sign). Nice sweet light tropical flavour with a hint of caramel malt. Not bad at all.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours dark amber with a fading head.
Nose shows herbal hops with some sweet biscuity malt underneath.
Aggressive flavours. Sharp bitterness and alcohol almost steamroll everything. Some grainy malt.
Carbonation is too high.
