1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 DuffMan (4241) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - APR 27, 2009
Part of the sampler tray at the brewery, but also now available in bottles. Pale straw in colour, foamy white cap. Unclean grainy aroma, like a dirty dishcloth. Thin grainy palate with a whiff of hop character. I’m not at all impressed, and quite frankly would take a Corona over this. Perhaps their lines were dirty?
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 halfluck (13) - East Victoria Park, AUSTRALIA - NOV 26, 2008
i was quite reserved to try this beer as i’ve heard it thrown around the place as a "corona clone’ but in it’s own right it is the kind of beer you just enjoy and kick back without thinking too much about what is going on in the glass. I wouldnt say no to another.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 Stew41 (1413) - Woodend, AUSTRALIA - NOV 10, 2007
Gawd....how many times have I written ’why bother’ in my notes? Particularly when a fledgling Oz mirco cranks out a macro / adjunct laden pale lager. Or in this case, a pale lager of the worst kind - the Corona wannabe! Light golden hue with a thin, pure white head. Corny, syrupy nose, no ’exciting hop aroma’ here. Subdued flavours to taste, again the corn-like characters pop up, but not much else. I could imagine it would be very easy to drink 10 of these babies on a hot summer’s day.
2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 ALLOVATE (1534) - Butler, WA, AUSTRALIA - MAY 1, 2006
My wife loved this one, suppose that sums it up as I’m not keen on anything representing a Sol or Corona clone. Still worthy of a taste just for being innoffensive, clean, and obviously popular with the many patrons. Similar to the 50:50 in appearance with this one being very bright and just a touch paler in gold, and crowned off by a lasting white head of froth that frosted the glass well even with a wedge of lemon floating in it. Slight hint of grass in the aroma before the lemon takes over, with little else showing up. Zero body, not watery but just delicate in feel. Slightly soapy towards the back end but otherwise seamlessly clean. Sour malt notes - to match the lemon - with just a touch of fruit esters and a little fresh-mowed grass before a short, crisp swallow. Not too bad at all, for it’s intended style it was right on the money and it’s good to see the wife down a couple of pints as beers not her usual tipple. (On draught at the brewery/restaurant)
2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 bluevegie (2853) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - APR 30, 2006
Served with a slice of lemon, bright gold body with generous white head, retention was ok, better than last time here although the only aroma that could be picked up was the slice of lemon, left rings ot lacing at first. Taste was initially a little sharp and citric bitter at then the lemon kicked in, thin body, a little grassy doesn’t taste like cheap corona style made with adjuncts but not a lot of characters to it.
