jcwattsrugger (9057) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - JUN 12, 2007
on tap-pours a tan head and black color. Aroma is dark malt-swee licorice/caramel. Taste is dark malt-sweet licorice/caramel/chocolate/coffee, cream/milk, secondary hops. Acidic. OK/mild carbonation. Had at Hickory Hopfest too, nicely done, not my style.

Draft pint at the brewpub; Pitch black and a suck-me-in warm roasty nose. Warming and robust with being overpowering . Not quite up to the "baltic porter" label, but a nice well-rounded rich porter. (#2808, 4/21/2007)
