COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Only true hop-heads apply! Our I.P.A. is copper colored and big in hop bitterness, flavor and aroma, using an enormous amount of Northern Brewer and Cascade hops to create a very refreshing ale.

UPDATED: NOV 11, 2003 On tap at Good Fellows Bar in Chapel Hill. Good LORD, what a hoppy brew! Very fruity aroma and flavor - had a very west coast feel to it. I enjoyed it.

UPDATED: DEC 13, 2005 Reddish orange. White head. Hops up front, almost a harsh hop flavor. Dirty, earthy flavor throughout, an an almost abrupt finish. Not bad.

GABF 2003: Clear amber in color with a small head. Faint earthy hops and a good malt aroma, full bodied, starts bitter and becomes more so at the end. A solid IPA.

UPDATED: FEB 26, 2005 Anothe reviewed indicated that his Hoppy Hour IPA tasted foul. I too have had this experiece on several occassions (both on tap and bottled). There are apparently some inconsistencies in the kegging/bottling process. When this beer is good, it’s very good. When it’s bad, it’s very bad. I just bought a six-pack today (for some reason I keep going back hoping for a good batch) and it is very good. I’m back on the Hoppy Hour IPA bandwagon.

Very hoppy aroma. Nice head, a bit darker than I would expect. Flavor--JESUS, the hops. They really ruined what began as an interesting and hoppy IPA. TOO MUCH HOPS. I like a good hoppy IPA as much as anyone, but there comes a point when you just need to walk away in order to keep some flavor. You should especially be careful with Cascade because it tends to overpower the flavor and aroma of a beer. Good beer, but until they fix the hop problem I probably won't have another.

A very hoppy brew, i had on my 30th B-Day at the Flying Saucer in Charlotte. This beer is the hoppiest i have ever had but a very good taste and went well with the beer cheese soup
