Pours a deep golden color with a white head. Laces well. Aromas leap up at you: very malty, and also very hoppy. A floral citrus hoppiness that pleases. The taste is rich and balanced. Malt in one corner, hops in the other. And it’s a draw. Just when you detect a little more maltiness, the hops come in and bring it down. Nicely done. Mouthfeel is decent, and it is extremely drinkable. I’m sorry that this is only a seasonal. Maybe they will bring it to the regular lineup soon.

Faitn hop aroma and and mild malt flavor. wilkie (1087), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA Aug 17, 2004 Draught. Amber colored, see through, very creamy white head with great retention.
Looks delicious. Malt and mild hops in aroma. Flavor is not so good. Spoilage???
Nice hop blend of soap and grass help to mask what’s wrong with malt flavor, but can’t
fully do the job. Brewers of this beer: Make it again and I will rerate. It is entirely possible
that the frat idiots at Flying Saucer in Raleigh have bad lines and/or equipment, and most
of your other beers are better. Eyedrinkale (3102), Beer Town, New York, USA Jan 12, 2004 GABF '03. So, North Carolina throws it's hat into the ring. Should have kept it on it's head. Boring Pale Ale with little hope bite. Light amber color with barely a palate at all. Tiny head.
