draught. Pours deep dark red with a cascade and a very even, level tan head. The brew, though not potently aromatic, has indetifiable chocoalte and oat scents. The mouthfeel is very creamy and coating. Walls of lacing are left on the glass as I drink. Plenty of dense chocolate, coffee, and oats are beheld with a slightly dry finish. I really enjoyed this one, perhaps it was my favorite.

Deep brown with amber highlights that produces a nice creamy tan head and very good lace. The aroma hints of vanilla and mocha, caramel, coffee, floral hops, citric, and dusty yeast esters. The taste starts with a grapefruit and hop bitterness with mild undertones of caramel malts. A touch sour and nutty. Espresso like qualities on the finish. the mouthfeel is creamy with an astringent finish. A good DRY stout, don't expect alot of sweetness here.

Dark with a nice head.
Creamy body with a malty taste.
Very decent porter. especially good on draft at the Mash House itself.
Would definitely recommend.

On tap at Tribeca Tavern in Cary. Pours a very black color with red highlights and a nice foamy tan head. This stout has clearly evident chocolate, coffee, and licorice aromas. The mouthfeel is very creamy. Taste is lots of chocolate, coffee, licorice and oats with a slightly dry finish. Not a bad brew for a $3 tap special. Tasty.

Draufht at the brewpub. Opaque black color with creamy tan head that laced the glass. Roasty, coffee nose. Carbonated, but not overly. Very smooth and slightly sweet. Tastes of coffee and bitter dark chocolate. Finish is slightly bitter and lingers.

On tap at Draft, Raleigh. Better than the porter to me, a nicely dry session stout that goes well with the cow and bison slung here. Handsome dark pour with a fluffy tan head. It still could use a slightly more emboldened body, but the mouthfeel is full and a nice combination of creamy and chalky. Good balance of smooth chocolate and dry roasted malts with an understated hop presence.

Pitch black, long lasting head. A little watery and flat. Just roast and cream and that's about it. Disappointing.
