2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 TBone (9433) - Pori, FINLAND - JUL 29, 2006
Draught@brew pub.
Dark brown - coca cola look-a-like, small white head. Toasted malts and fruitcake in the nose. Grassy, woody malty, caramelly flavor. A bit bready and harsh finish.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 chriso (7065) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 23, 2005
On tap (keg) at Mash, London, October 2005. After two bland and characterless beers at Mash, I kind of had a suspicion about what might be coming next. Fairly pale amber colour. Maybe a little less insipid than the other two, if only because of the preponderance of doughy malt and caramel. Not much else going on. I’m going to give it one extra click, just for tasting of something. The fourth Mash beer was not available on this visit. Don’t know whether to be disappointed (at least I would have got them all out of the way in one fell swoop) or thankful.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 SilkTork (4738) - Rochester, Kent, United Kingdom, WALES - OCT 16, 2005
Aug, 2005. Mash Bar, Oxford Circus. Surprising how old this tastes even though served fresh in the brewery. As with the other beers there is extra gas that bloats the stomach and causes belching. An unpleasant side effect of forced carbonation. Rough cardboard flavours both clash and add morbid interest.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 argo0 (9265) - Washington DC, USA - AUG 24, 2005
Clear copper body with no head. Aroma is medium sweet, caramel. Taste is medium sweet, caramel, light herbal. Light-medium body with a bit of stickiness.

Pours a light amber hue, clear as a window, with a halo of a head. Aromas of malt, butter and eggs. Flavors of roasted malts, and a hint of spice.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 bitter (1137) - Henderson, Nevada, USA - AUG 9, 2004
on draft mash:
slight malt nose and character in the glass. lacking in the bubbles as all of the beers are. quite weak and uninpressive.
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 pivo (2540) - GERMANY - SEP 6, 2003
TAP: smells like a piece of cold wheat toast with egg salad on it. Nice amber color, though, with a low frothy head. Orange malt taste, toasted too. Some late arriving hop character. Fairly bitter. Medium body, round mouth feel. Loud place, that MASH, with GenXers all over the place.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 YogiBeera (2436) - Hamburg, GERMANY - AUG 16, 2003
Malty roasted light nose. Little head, liveley carbonation, light red color with hints of brown. Malty and nutty taste but slightly. Medium pockerin mouthfeeling. Stupid Barkeeper and kind of ultra hip place.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 jbrus (4990) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - MAY 4, 2003
Strong caramel aroma. Amber/brown color, small white head, fair lace. Sweet, caramel. Long lasting finish but way too sweet. I know this has nothing to do with the beer, but the brewery/restaurant was very very expensive. Nice interior though, totally not english.
