Bottle from an Italian stall in Westfield Stratford as no. 28. Hazy dark amber reddish brown. Some biscuit malt and sweetish fruity malt. Fruity malt in mouth, some light milk chocolate. It’s ok if a little thin. Not much hop on the finish, but ok.

Aroma: intense grain and bread malts, some caramel. Appearance: hazy amber, small, frothy, off-white head. Taste: light sweet. Palate: light sweets continue, very malty, medium body, soft carbonation. Overall: would call this an Amber Ale, pleasant to drink, but lacks complexity. Bottle from Coop, Thun-Straettligen.

Bottle 0.75L. Hazy amber body with large, fizzy, off-white head, mostly lasting with some lacing. Moderate malty (grains, caramel) and light hoppy (flowers) aroma with moderate notes of red fruits. Moderate sweet and light-to moderate acidic flavour with light bitter character; average duration. Light-to-medium body with watery texture; average carbonation.

750 ml bottle. Deep sunrise orange, pretty clear, with an average off white head which went away almost immediately. Lots of fruit esters upfront, quite yeasty, notes of toffee and burnt caramel, slightly spicy (esp. X-Mas types of spices), roasted malts and light alchool. Harshly carbonated, overly sweet, awful taste of cooked vegetables and paper. I wont even bother to finish this review, as it’s going straight down the drain. Bad, very bad.

75cl swing top bottle from supermarket in Sorrento. Aroma: light, caramel, bready. Appearance: amber-gold, partially cloudy, lively carbonation, fine bubbles, minimal but persistent white head. Taste: some sweetness initially, gives way to slightly bitter finish, mild smokey notes. Palate: medium-light body, smooth on the palate. Overall: refreshing beer, better suited for summer, not remarkable.

Swing-top bottle. Most interesting beer I had during my stay in Italy. Best alternative to a house wine. Suited well with salami and olives. Loved it.

Bottle. Amber beer with a dark cream head. Malt and yeast aroma. Malt and yeast flavor with light breadiness and light herbal notes. Medium bodied. Malt and yeast linger with light breadiness.

Bottle 75 cl from supermarkt at maiori. Hazy blonde with a small head. Nice fresh herbal aroma. Taste is somewhat sharp. Balance not totally good. Sharp finish a bit, but not bad
