UPDATED: JUL 2, 2014 Pours a quite big, off-white thick and compact head; deep dark leathery brown hazy colour. Smells very malty, dried fruits, ripe fruits adn spices (cinammon-licorice). Taste is very much on the way: toasted malts, caramel, tofee and little fruity. Medium to high sweetness, low bitter-roastiness in the end; overall quite balanced bittersweet. Creamy texture, average carbonation, quite dry finish. Very much dubbel like, but with more delicacy and cleanness usually typical of Italian brews

Bottle @ THT May, courtesy of deanso. Pours a clear amber beer with a small off white head on top. Aroma is rather yeasty, fruity and has a touch of cinnamon. Flavor is medium sweet, faint hoppy and overall fairly uninteresting. Interesting looking bottle though.

Bottle @ Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig. The pour’s brown with a small head. The aroma’s fairly pedestrian. Caramel-dipped donut, honey. The taste is full of malty sweet. Plenty of caramel, more toffee. Fairly one-dimensional stuff. Medium bod, soft carbonation.

Bottle from Mama and Dad’s holiday, Italy. This hazy dark brown-black beer explodes out of the bottle with a large foamy head. It has rich malt, chocolate, red fruit and sarsaparilla flavours and slight liquorice on the finish.
