from supermarket Iper, Alba Adriatica - comes in an ambitious packaging; pours a cloudy, dirty dark brown beer with some particles floating within; persistent creamy beige foam; fairly toasted chocolaty aroma, light earthy and caramelish; soft palate, light thick and grainy; bitter and toasted chocolaty and flowery finish

The beer pours a nice thick layer of soft foam. The color of the foam is white, with a brown gray hint. The bulk of the foam collapse quickly, but a nice layer of soft foam stays to cover the foam. The beer has a beautiful color. The color is a mix between ruby red and amber. The beer has a beautiful orange glow. The beer is quite clear, but some yeast and protein flakes are floating in the beer. The beer has a beautiful smell. The first thing I think of is a beautifully aged wine. This idea comes from the little sour aroma the beer has. The beer also has a almondy alcohol aroma. This is very nice. I also sense a bitter beer smell, a little hoppy. The beer also has a deep dark fruitiness on the background, red fruits mostly. The taste is even better than the taste. The beer has a very pleasant mouth sensation, tingly and yet soft. The taste doesn’t contain the source aged whine taste, maybe in the distance a little bit. The taste is way different from the smell. There is a nice little roasted barley taste, which is really nice. This gives a nice sweet bitterness. The taste also contain flavors of chocolate, coffee and caramel. It is delicious. There is also a nice fruitiness. There is some red fruit. The finish is very tasty. It contains a delicious roasted barley aroma, together with the tastes of chocolate, coffee and caramel. Especially the chocolate is present in the finish. This beer is truly a unique beer. It has fruitiness and a bitter maltyness and roast. Great.

Bottle 0,75l. A bit cloudy, dark red/brown colored beer. Aroma of sweet red fruit, cherries, caramel, toasted malt, chocolate and some cooked vegetable. Slightly sweet and slightly fruity sour flavor, red fruit, dates, prunes, caramel, chocolate, moderately bitter, full bodied, a bit syrupy.
Huge, fruity, tasty ale.

Bottle 0,75l from supermarket in Trento for 8 eur as Mastri Birrai Umbri Selezione 42.
Brown to dark ruby body, medium off-white head. Aroma of dark fruits (especially blackberries), caramel, little toasty, touch of strawberries, bit yeasty and some like roasted beans. Taste is dry with some sligthly malty sweetness in the base. Dark fruits again, caramel, licorice, tofee. Medium to full body, medium carbonation, nice fresh for this ABV content.
Very nice brown ale, but I can’t recognize lentils in taste. And bottle is such beautifull and luxury. I’m glad that the content is also very good, not just cover.

Aroma: caramel, roasted bread, malts, raw beans, fresh vegetables. Taste: light malt sweetness, light sourness. Flavour: strange mix of malts, green peas/raw beans, caramel. Strange but not unpleasant.

Tonaca di frate con riflessi rossastri, abbastanza limpida, schiuma beige chiara mediamente persistente. Aroma di nocciole e lenticchie. Al palato sempre nocciole e lenticchie, sul finale nota amara tostata. Corpo medio-leggero, mediamente carbonata.

Red brown color, cloudy. Medium beige head. Thin aroma, thin taste and very thin palate. Watery, but without bad aftertaste, If you look for completely neutral beer with no qualities, but very expensive because of luxury bottle and fraud producer, than this is the beer for you. I repeat, the fraud is not complete, because it is drinkable. But, probably you will buy it only once for that money.
