COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

[ Courtesy of fiulijn ]. Unclear medium to dark orange amber colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light light heavy malty, caramel, nutty, dusty malt. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, nutty, caramel, dusty, chocolate notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120420]

75 cl bottle, 6%. Brown beer with particles in suspension and nice soft brownish white head. Nose is hearthy. Aroma is mostly caramel with toasted malts and a noticeable earthy and woody note, alcohol is noticeable. Taste is prominenrly sweet with a moderate bitterness in the finish, finish is a little harsh. Texture is fluffy and foamy. Overall is crude and raw as it’s supposed to be, and has an handcrafted beer attitude.

Elegant, 750ml bottle. Reddish dark brown with a creamy head. Aroma is dark chocolate, dark grapes, blackcurrant, caramel, raisins and licorice. Rather light body, quite a watery mouthfeel, distinct roasted-earthy-hoppy aftertaste with quite a strong bitterness. Tastes like a porter to me. A good one but this is less than I expected.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a huge off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt, fruits, and spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, fruits, and spices, as well as lighter notes of caramel, leading to a dry and bitter finish. Thanks fiulijn for sharing.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of fiulijn. Pours a cloudy opaque slightly murky brown with an orange hue and a dense and lacing off-white head. A little sweet dark fruit in the nose with subtle roast as well. Medium-bodied, dark fruits, a little chocolate and yeast. The finish has a surprising bitterness. 200412

Bottle from Iper, Grandate (CO)
Dark amber to brown color; nice head, medium sized. The aroma is a bit dusty and earthy. There is a decent flavor of dry and dark malts, dark caramel, with correct bitterness; there may be the same vegetables defects of the Cotta 37, but better hidden here by the dark malts.
Decent.
