(sampled at the Manitou Craft Lager Festival 8/14/11). Dark brown color. Small tan head. Moderate roasted malt aroma, with light earthiness and light grassy hop. Flavor of the same. Avg duration. Light dry finish. Slick texture. Moderate carbonation. Fair lacing.

On tap at Cerveceria Mateveza. Dark brown in color with a small light tan head. Coffee and roast on the aroma with mild herbal notes. Coffee and tea, roast, chocolate, and caramel on the flavor. On the blander side but not bad. Medium-bodied and a bit lower on the carb than I’d like. This beer is right around average, but doesn’t have too much wrong with it at least.

Post CBC in the Hotel - ’Oh crap I have bought too many bottles again’! Clear dark brown beer, little off white head. Light palate, crisp and dry. Mild dark malts. Minerals. A little dark chocolate. This is a pretty wishy washy beer that is only redeemed by the nice dark chocolate.

Bottle from Ølbutikken, CPH. Pours deep ruby with a small tanned head. Aroma of light roasted malts. Taste is smooth, soft carbonated, light bitter coffee, with a more metallic aftertaste. Lingering metal and coffee.

Bottle. Pours a dark ruby almost black color with a small off-white head. Has a slightly roasted malty caramel aroma. Roasted malty coffee yeasty flavor with weak tart hints. Roasted malty bitter coffee and caramel finish.

clear brown, small yellow head. herbal aroma, hoppy, chilies. flavor is chilies, malts, herbal.

Bottle at Ølbutikken - shared with the Stormtroopers. Clear dark brown – white head. Burned, fruity, licorice, berries, high malty, light bretty, breadish, light metallic, light sweet malty, cocoa and chocolate notes.

22 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy brown with a small white head. Aroma is fruity and roasted malty. Bitter, metallic and breadish dark malty. Bitter and roasted malty finish. Coffee herbal and spiced.

Bottle at Ølbutikken. Clear red-brown coloured with a small beige head. Sweet and light roasted aroma of chocolate, liquorice and caramel. Light roasted flavour of caramel, liquorice and chocolate. Roasted finish.

Bottle 65 cl. Clear, dark orangey brown with a beige head. Slightly Bretty, farty aroma. Medium-bodied, dry roast, a little metal and a tart edge. Malty bitter finish. Is this really supposed to be this tart? 280412

Bottled. A dark red beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of brett, caramel, berries, and bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of brett, roasted malt, berries, and bread, leading to a dry and slightly tart finish.
