Bottle. Pours a golden body with a white head. Citrus, light floral and earth tones. Soft earth with a light honey presence, a viney citrus tone with a lightly apple cider finish. Okay.

Always wanted to try this, but never wanted to pick up a whole 6pk as Yerba Mate is supposed to work on getting the heart beating. Pours only a slight hand. Bit of foam on top of an orange sea. Clear orangy body with only a few bubbles. Hoppy aroma. Mouthfeel is odd. As I take a sip its like gas is being released inside my mouth. Not just the first time, but the second time too. Some rubbery flavors amongst the hoppyness. Eh. Basically confirmed my assumption I should only buy a single bottle.

Hazy sunrise orange with an suitable head, Sharply bitter hop nose with some citrus notes. The flavor is more even-tempered. Medium hoppiness with a solid malt-backbone and some citrusiness and a definite, diffuse herbalness and slight iced tea with a touch of honey finish. Nice complexity.

Bomber poured a cloudy golden amber with a lingering ring of amber foam. Aromas of carmel, pine, earthiness and light citrus. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a watery finish. Flavors of carmel, earthiness and a hint of pine with a crisp lightly bitter watery finish.

I think this is a quite tasty beer. A good initial hop bite, a lot of tea/honey flavor. This beer stays very consistent throughout. I really liked this.

hayduke (3473) - Eureka, California, USA - FEB 3, 2010
This 22 oz bottle poured a slightly cloudy amber color with a good sized off-white head. Nose of citrus and floral hops. Medium body with a smooth creamy mouthfeel. The floral floral hops are dominate, and the herbal flavors are subdued. The finish is bitter and the herbs and spices show up more at the end.

Light citrus hops with an earthy scent from the mate. Cloudy orange with a small head. Flavor is light hops, some malt and more of that mate earthiness. Not something I would want to drink all the time, but a really interesting experiment, the sort I’d love to see more of.
