I really like this beer. Very smooth taste for an IPA, but a nice hop bite. The mate makes this taste smooth. Nice sweet backbone. Quaffable, Medium high carbonation. I will get this beer again.

650mL bottle pours a cloudy orange-golden color with small white head and very little lacing. Aroma of some herbs and floral hops. Taste is malty sweet with some mild coffee notes and a modest bitter finish. A very unusual beer worthy of trying at least once.

A bit thin on the body with some cloudiness. I personally like mate and drink it regularly and I enjoyed this. Nose is pretty flat with a little of the mate showing. Taste is an average IPA with subtle mate greenage and bitterness at the end (which I liked). Clean finish. Would perfectly happily drink this on a hot summer’s day. My buddy hated it.

Light and crystal clear. Very fruity and exotic citrus tingles fill the nose, something lemony and green like sorrell. Very interesting on the tongue, tropical, vegetal, dry and tingly. Exciting. Light and earthy with an oily texture.

Bomber. Pours a fairly clear tangerine with little head if any. Aromas are nice enough... floral and tropical hops with a bit of herbal mate stuff. Flavor is similar... Interesting mix, better than I feared, not as good as I hoped.

Since I don’t know what Yerba Mate tastes like, this beer seems pretty typical for an IPA.

Wheat Ridge (Denver), Co. - Applejack Liquors - 22 oz bomber. Medium dark copper pour, pillowy, cramy white head. Nice herbal and spruce aroma with a floral touch. Flavor has some muted citrus notes, some grassiness, a hint of mint and a back end of apricots. Creamy mouthfeel. Much better than expected - especially at $2.99 a bomber!

Nice grapefruit/citrus, lemon hop aroma. Pours slightly cloudy orange with nice white head. Mid range body. Citrus, astringence. dry hopped, but not overpowering. Could have more hops but not a deal breaker. Under rated IMO.
