zappafan99 (283), Rock Hill, South Carolina, USA Aug 10, 2008 Taste: 8/8 Bottle. Looks: Very heady pour. Cloudy yellow body. Aroma: Candy sugar, a little green/herbal. Hops spice. Taste: Bitter/astringent, dry and lacking much body. A little spice and a metallic tinge. Medicinal, like powdered asprin. robforbes (694), Bremerton, Washington, USA Jul 27, 2008 pours a clear yellow with an orange tint, thin white head.
smell of spice, some white pepper, light orange peel, herbs.
taste is watery, spice, slight bitterness, dandelion, some citrus, mild hops, leaves the mouth dry.
not bad for an herb brew. DuffMan (1915), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Jul 14, 2008 Near-amber golden colour, really quite bronzy. Aroma of grainy wet straw and twiggy green vegetation. Flavour is sweet pale malt with a vegetal hop quality and a subtle ginger note. Finish is dry and mildly bitter. Interesting. Bradrcr (554), Renton, Washington, USA May 24, 2008 5/17/08 From the bottle. This brew had a strong herbal aroma of sweet malt and flowery notes. Appearance is clear gold with a low white head. Flavor is very herbal, kind of citrus, with notes of fruit skins, malt has an even sweet/sour blend, kind of like wheat, with very low bittering. Mouthfeel is low bodied with a low carb texture and kind of creamy. Overall, interesting, but not delicious. AmEricanbrew (907), Left Coast, Louisiana, USA May 13, 2008 Dark straw color with a huge rocky head. Big nose of mate, orange peel, herbs and dry pale malts. Medium body with a smooth creamy mouthfeel. Earthy mate driven flavors here with some dusty pale malts and spices. A unique and tasty brew here. Try this for breakfast, mate has lots of caffiene.
