Bottle- huge upfront citrus hop aroma. Golden amber in colour. Well made beer with hop undertones all through the beer and a nice lingering hop finish.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Pyobon (728) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - FEB 18, 2012
(bottle) Poured clear golden amber with no head. Aroma was citrusy hops with hints of caramel and grass. Medium body with good carbonation. Flavour had a nice initial sweetness that quickly gives way to a citrus tartness and then a hop bitterness builds for a long finish. Overall this beer lacks finesse and complexity but is still a nice drop.

Clear, dark honeyed amber colour with a thin white head. Moderately carbonated, it has a highly hopped aroma with fruit. Very bitter to the taste, but the fruit comes through. Not bad.

For those who are fans of Little Creatures Pale Ale. This one definitely rivals it. I think this brew is just missing the somewhat following that creature’s has

Alpha pours deep almost orange amber a loosly packed dense foam which quickly settles down. This beer is a hop bomb its aroma almost overloads the senses, its herbal, grassy and of a citrus nature. I found the palate a little on the thin watery side and my first impression was slight over carbonation. The beer has lovely bitterness and I think Matilda bay have found a nice balance between aroma and taste, this beer is way above average for an australian beer.
