COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Brewers Reserve Alpha Pale Ale is very much in line with the beers from America’s North West – assertive bitterness together with a distinctive fruit and citrus aroma - except we’ve put a Matilda Bay spin on it. It has a big hop nose with citrus notes derived from the use of Cascade hops imported from North America. 35 IBU.

De botella. Clear amber colour, white head. Pleasant rather mild fruity hoppy aroma. Mouthfeel, ok/good. Flavour has fruity hops, fair maltiness , some citrus. Bit mild but a good APA.

14-FEB-2011, bottle @Mikkeller Bar. Light in color red’ish. Not overly bitter, but cascade taste is present. A bit watery with high carbonation. Easy drinking, I could easily see a need for such a beer in Australia:-)

Bottle. Amber pour with white-with-yellowish-tinge head. aroma dominated with cascade, with some toasty malt and soapy alcohol in the background. Suprisingly rich flavour, balancing between hop flavour and malt sweetness with hops dominating. Apricot & peach in the beginning. I would suggest that this is a little over carbed for my liking. Bitter finish of soap and grapefruit. Not bad.

This is a bit of a favourite and more of a drinking beer than a thinking beer.

Nice resinous hoppy aroma with some citrus and breadiness. Pour is orange copper with a thin white head. Flavour is malt with with a hint of stonefruit and a great hoppy finish. Matilda Bay are on another winner.

I was serverly hooked on this beer for sometime. I love the aroma. That was my first love. Then it was the taste. You can spend a night on this one and never look away.

Bottle. Pours with a large dense foamy off-white head over a clear red-amber body. Aroma and taste of brown bread, with a sweetish mid body and long resinous piney bitter finish. Medium bodied with lowish carbonation.

Bottle. Orange copper colour with bubbly open tan head. Aroma of un fermented wort and dominant citrus hops. Smooth medium palate with long lasting bitterness at the end. Try the aroma in the last third of the glass!. If it did’nt have the big high alpha hop kick it would be? Quite ok, bit out of balance i think. Now of for a Murrays Nirvana PA mmmm.
