3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 thewolf (9860) - Kolding, DENMARK - JUL 2, 2007
Bottle. Pours a slightly red-like amber with a small creamy off-white head. Aroma is sweet and has a buttery feel to it. A touch of caramel is mixed well with a good dose of fruity and grassy hop notes. Quite low carbonation giving it an oily feel. Flavour is somewhat milder than the aroma - the hops don’t come to the fore in the same way. But it is quite low in alcohol, which might explain the missing ’pang’, I was looking was. If the aroma didn’t hype it, I would have given this 3.8, but the flavour is a touch of a let-down in comparison.
