COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A faithful reproduction of the classic Dark Munich style lager, Dogbolter is brewed from pure malt. Additions of roasted barley an caramel malt creates a dark, malty beer with roasted barley overtones.

Cola colour, malty nose. Coffee flavour, minimal after taste. Not bad, good for a dessert beer.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Nothing super special about this beer. Just an awesome, sessionable dark lager. Love it

From the tap at the Local Taphouse, St Kilda on 27/1/2011 (part of a five beer tasting paddle). Dark reddish brown in colour. The aroma sweet malt, chocolate, toffee and mollasses. In the mouth, it’s a sweet one, with chocolate (milk rather than dark) and cola most prominent. There’s modest amount of hops at the back. A decent dark beer, but lacks depth.

Obeyed label and "took the chill off" before drinking. Aroma of coffee and chocolate. Dark red with thick brown head (poured from a height) that held well. Looked inviting. Nice and malty, taste of unsweetened dark chocolate/cocoa with hint of coffee. Medium body, average carbonation, moderate finish (shrug). Complimented nicely to the christmas pudding and caramel crunch icecream. This beer slammed me with a headache afterward, but would drink again regardless.

Keg. Coffee, toasty malt and toffee. Creamy body but mostly dry. Dark red-brown with tan head.
