Pale, thin white head. Little hop aroma, but what is there is nice. Flavour lacks any kind of malt backbone, slightly oxidized. This is one of those ’meh’ beers which would probably be ’oh yeh’ if it was fresh.

Very drinkable, dry and malty in a traditional IPA style. Lots of character. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Seen just about everywhere in Australia nowadays, so thought I’d give it a try. Faint caramel taste, bit too sour and unbalanced. Disappointing. Their Alpha Pale Ale is a much better beer.

Off tap: pours golden with a fluffy head that quickly came back to a thin layer. Nothing particularly jumping out at me with the aroma, flavour was fairly one dimensional and lacked the hops that I’d expect. Overall pretty uninspiring.

Bottled. An amber beer with a huge beige head. The aroma has notes of citrusy hops, malt, and caramel. The flavor has notes of malt, caramel, and hay, leading to a bitter finish.

Great flavour of American hops, cascade? Nice sweet malt to balance, very similar to Epic PA. Good session beer or match with food.

Misty amber colour with thin head. Aroma of malt, a little grass. Medium bodied. Quite creamy. Slightly sweet with a mildly bitter finish. This one is a bit too malty for my liking, but still decent.

This is a very tasty, refreshing beer. A very pleasant but subtle hop aroma and a lovely light amber colour. Good head and perfect carbonation. It’s not a flavour explosion, but it has a perfect mild balance, with just enough hops and a spicy finish, and a real creamy medium-light body. One of the best session pale ales I have had. Spot on.

Nice lively appearance, bubbly and dark gold, almost coppery. No discernible aroma, but nice bitter flavour of malt and some very non-floral hoppiness. Tastes almost like a good ol’ bitter. By far the best beer to be found among so much Aussie rubbish at the Qantas lounge.

UPDATED: MAR 8, 2013 Bottle at ascot race course on Melbourne cup day. Only decent beer at the races. Aromas of malt and some pine hops. Taste is backed up with mild bitterness. Not a bad pale ale goes down pretty well I guess
