madquacker (1074) - Canberra ACT, AUSTRALIA - APR 20, 2007
Poured clear until the sediment kicked in at the bottom. Quite a solid version of a wheat beer. Nice head and aroma and a yeasty banana taste. Nicely balanced. Stay away from the Cristal version though which is a poor imitation.

UPDATED: MAR 5, 2007 A gift from my transplanted Calgarian friend living in Japan TimE. This seems more like an American wheat than a German hefe. Thanks Tim. Page 313 of Michael Jackson’s Great Beer Guide and only 317 of his 500 Classic Brews to go

Bottled. A golden beer with a disappearing white head - hmm, it seems filtered, so maybe it is a Kristalweizen. The aroma is sweet wheaty combined with notes of oranges and light banana notes. The flavor is sweet malty and wheaty with light banana notes. The body is a bit light.
