2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Yellow with a very thin head. Sharp aggressive rough outdoor aroma. Spritzy then foamy mouth feel. Hint of lemon butter. More American than German in style.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Somewhat sadder than what i remembered. Yes it is a wheat beer with a presence of banana’s and cloves. What is there that i didn’t recall is some skunkiness and a very thin body. Maybe it is rose tinted glasses, maybe it is fosters, but isn’t as good as i once remembered.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
In the bottle. Pours gold with a big bubbled white head. The aroma was slightly skunked. Fairyl sweet with a faint grainy wheat flavor. Has just a touch of cloves? Super clear and extremely filtered. Sadly, this stands out among most bottle shop offerings in this part of the world, taste-wise.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap at Opera Bar. Tasted a bit weird to me the first time, since filthmuppet supplied it with a slice of lemon. Second one tasted better without, but maybe a bit boring. In retrospect, perhaps the lemon wasn’t a bad idea after all, since the beer itself really did nothing for me beyond actually being a hefeweizen. Good thing i like hefeweizen i suppose.

Amber-yellow. Weird aroma; a sort of sour bitterness. Also sour tastes, fairly bland all in all.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: FEB 8, 2011 (Bottle 34,5 cl) This beer is pure nostalgia to me. I remember having this in 1988 back at the Matilda Bay brew pub in Fremantle, when the beer was all new and exiciting. So how was the revisit?:
Pours a slightly hazy golden with a small, off-white head. Vague wheat aroma with some yeast. Rather light-bodied, slightly sweet. Weak accents of fruit and yeast before a dry finish. Mostly resembles an American Wheat in style. Far from greatness, but thanks to highlandlad, for bringing back sweet memories. 140506
