Matsch & Brei Apfelwein

750mL Bottle. Thanks for sharing Rob! I was really surprised by this cider. I expected this german cider to nothing but fermented out dessert apples. Instead, this is a mouse-y, astringent complex beast. Aroma has a lot of basement, mouse pee and other lightly lactic fermentation notes, with some interesting funk. Flavors start out with swift malic acid, but then translate into some strong astringency on the sides of gums and then a bitter finish. Flat. It was a bit tough to drink, but really complex and interesting.
