Pour on tap at the Denver Summer Brew Fest, clear yellow pour with thin to no fizzy head, aroma brought notes of adjunct corn, rice notes, touch of grain, spicy yeast, hints of grass as well. Taste is some slight grain, corn and biscuit notes, slight yeast, touch of earth and grass, finishing dry, clean.
0.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20 GeneralGao (3614) - Iowa City, Iowa, USA - MAR 5, 2006
12 oz bottle at The Federal in Durham, NC. Clear pale golden color without any head or lace. Smells strange...like lemon squeezed into a glass of water. Tastes suprisingly similar...a little lemony and there is a metallic aftertaste. Crisp and exhuberantly carbonated. Poor effort.
0.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20 ClarkVV (3579) - Allston, Massachusetts, USA - JUN 3, 2003
Spoiled yeast taste to begin, but it evens out a bit. Lacked the old malt taste because it was drowned out by an old and diluted hop taste. . .
1.7 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 SledgeJr (3577) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - MAR 7, 2007
On tap at El Bait shop. Pale yellow with a medium poofy white head of rapid reticence. Faint lager aroma, but only a suggestion. Thin watery and cold. This has the grainy adjuncts that You want in a classic retro. I’m sure there are folks in NY who like this the same way we in Omaha like our Storz. Nostalgia is goodstalgia.

Bottle. Pale yella, little to no head. Nose is grain, grass, cereal. Flavor is lightly minerals, grassy, grainy sweetness.

Shared by turdferguson. Pours a clean piss yellow with one finger of foamy white head. Nose has some musty wet paper and corn with wet bread and old hay. No hop character and a sweet malt profile.
2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Scopey (3239) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 8, 2013
Can @Bruce’s thanks to Mr L. It pours pale yellow with a small-medium white head. The nose is skunky, dough, light sulphur, light butter and floral notes. The taste is dough, hay, straw, touch of citrus (pithy lemon & lime), touch of spice and light floral aspect. Light-medium body and fine carbonation. Ah not that bad. I can see why some people would smash these back after a big work-out.
1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 beerbill (3044) - Laurel, New York, USA - OCT 24, 2005
12 oz. can. Pours a light yellow with a fizzy white head. Very, very light aroma. Not much flavor to speak of. Does anyone remember the days when F.X. Matt brewed "Maximus Super"?!!

Can. Grassy, sour skunked yeast in the nose. Pretty darn sour nose. Transparent apple juice color with a small quickly dissipating false white head. Start is kind of sweet turning sour and metallic to finish. A strange bitterness lingers....Pretty rough stuff...
1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20 Kinz (2967) - Glen Allen, Virginia, USA - OCT 5, 2006
Chance to try a version of a once proud brew. Well, at least old time, if not that proud. Pale gold, slight head fades quick. Slight aroma of corn with a hint of artificial honey. Flavor is sweet adjunct, with absolutely nothing on the finish. Maybe a bit of drying bitterness, but that might just be my imagination looking for something. Not a good beer, but by no means as nasty as many of the ratings make it out to be.
