Dark brown, off-white lacing foam. Weak barnyard aroma, not bad but strange. Bittersweet taste, again could be improved. Not a bad beer still. (Montpellier 201507) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cloudy copper color with a creamy off-white head with medium duration. Aroma has notes of resins with light caramelish hints. Flavor has a decent bitterness with good duration, light caramel, notes of grapefruit and orange with yeasty notes. Good bitterness in the final with good duration.

Bottle shared. Rich caramel cereals, orange citrus, herbal hops, honey, dry bitter finish. Interesting, kind of a hybrid between European/American styles, more on the malty side maybe but highly enjoyable.

[Draught at Les Trois 8, Paris, May 23] 36th rating of my Paris/Amsterdam trip. Pours a clear deep amber with an average size semi-lasting frothy off-white head, Lots of lacing. Aroma is quite malty along with lots of hops, some fruit and some light vegetal and bready notes, Herbal hop flavour along with lots of malt and a moderate bitter finish. Medium bodied. Maltier then I like my IPAs to be but still good.

Bottle at biere et choppes in Nantes. Amber color, small lasting head. Medium to full body and medium carbonation. Taste of cereal with a string lasting bitter finish. Interesting.

Bready smell with a hint of almonds, very French, very un-IPA-like. Tastewise, the whole thing is missing brightness, too much caramel malt, too much overcooked hops, with quite a dull bitterness at the finish. Red fox IPA is way better!

Ruikt iets fruitig, hop, mout. Smaakt lekker bitter, hop, iets zoetig van honing.

33cl bottle, Lot Nr. 156, bouteille 6807, from Village de la Bière, Strasbourg I/2015. Fooking ’ale, you just have to love those funny H-dropping crooked puns by new French breweries... Enticingly continental nose of apple blossom, white apricot, mint, woody caramels. Taste revolves around sweet fruit-based and malt-based caramels with some wet tree branches thrown in and quickly collapses into a flabby puddle, unclearly defined with a few rough yeasty edges. Some overlap with first wave EU/DE IPAs, muddled semi-exotic crossovers. Like the story behind the name and the intra-Gallic cooperation.
