Bottle @ home picked up at Mile High Liquor Denver. Pours a bit hazy, golden orange appearance with a nice, full khaki head. Quite potent, spicy and fresh, herbal, chewy herbal yeasty, just a touch citrusy aroma. Carbonation is a bit strong and zippy. Potent grassy, very herbal, fairly dry grainy flavor. Maybe a bit of citrus, but mostly a grassy, herbal flavor. Interesting and pretty tasty.

Paid $5.90 for a 500ML bottle @ Bier Cellar, Portland, ME. Had to pour extremely slowly with the large, foamy head slowly gushing from the bottle as soon as the cap was popped. Weizen glass shows a hazy straw color with large amounts of carbonation. Aroma of hay, grass and citrus hops. Tastes just like it smells with an effervescent mouthfeel. Light malt provides a base to the grassy, citrus dry-hopping. Texture has a drying effect. Really unique and a bit odd; yet still has a refreshing quality.

500 ml bottle poured a clear gold with a lasting white head. Aromas of straw, lemon zest and floral notes. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of straw, lemon zest and floral notes with a crisp dry lingering floral finish.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 mansquito (2504) - Nueva York, New York, USA - SEP 16, 2012
New Beer Distributors, NY 50cl ($5.50): Pours a slightly clouded orange colour with a relatively loose white head. Aroma is king of musky and earthy: reminds me of some other beers, but I cannot exactly remember which ones. Taste is lightly hoppy, in a way similar to a rather restrained pilsner. A weird German version of a pale ale. Nothing all that great though. Reminds me a bit of a kellerbier or altbier.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 FROTHINGSLOSH (3977) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 19, 2012
Sampled on draft at the Headkeeper this beer poured a murky orange-amber color with a large fluffy and creamy orange-white head that lingered and left incredible lacing. The aroma was tart citrus, chalk and a bit of sourdough bread> The flavor was tart, chalky, citrus Pez candies and was very dry. Long tart, dry, Pez candy finish. Medium body. Disappointing.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 bmerz (465) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - AUG 5, 2012
Bottle from Breukelen Bier Merchants, NYC. Hazy gold with great initial head. Aroma is moderate strength with a light sweet citrus, dust, and grain. Tastes similar with a yeast sediment component that is also in the mostly soft rounded texture. It’s very drinkable and comforting. Nothing really stands out but it’s a well composed beer...more or les of exactly what I expected a English style pale ale made in Germany to be.
