on tap at klub malych pivovaru in pilsen, 49 crowns for a 0.3l glass, perhaps not the best choice for a stiflingly hot day. anyways, emerged from the tap a hazy orange colour with a slender but persistent off-white head; quite a fresh and juicy aroma of mango and pineapple sorbet; plenty of tropical fruit flavours, notably some jackfruit and starfruit, with some restrained biscuity malt and a quick and intensely bitter finish. another worthy, faithful-to-the-style effort from matuska, though lacking the drinkability of some of their other american style beers

Svesse (7600) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - SEP 16, 2012
(Draught at Zly Casy, Prague, 28 July 2012) Amber colour with creamy, beige head. Fruity, malty nose with orange peel, apricots and lots of resinous hops. Fruity, malty taste with notes of orange peel, apricots, toast and a generous citric bitterness in the body. Almost full body, with a solid malt profile and a certain sweetness. Tasty and very nice.

Cunningham (6441) - Halden, NORWAY - MAY 17, 2014
Appearance: Light hazy orange golden color with a nice big off white head. Good lacing.
Aroma: Grapefruit hoppy, slightly sweet malty and tropical fruity.
Palate: Full to medium body. Tad sweet and a rich bitterness. Average to flat carbonation. Oily texture.
Taste: Balanced rich smooth grapefruit hoppy and tropical fruity. Quite well integrated alcohol. Solid malty back without being on the butterscotch side.
Overall impression: Tasty fresh and nice DIPA.
Personal stats: Bottle from a trade with mmahut

Bottle. Cheers Nick. Pours a hazy Orange with a rocky white head. Amzing aroma Grapefruit, Pine and tropical fruits. Flavour has a lovely balance of hops and sweetness. The bitterness is manageable. Matuska really is formidable.

McNeillR (2122) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAR 6, 2016
Fairly light golden, clear and even spaced lacing from a decent filmy ringed head. Nose is grassy, big melon syrup and a telling malt buzz. Initial taste is a rich punchy sherbert lemon and brassy sweetness. Carbonation is fairly soft, smooth mouthfeel. Finishes a bready sweet puff and lingers long melony an pineapple again.

Bottle fae BenH Praguage, Pig Out Tasting.
