Matuška Uluwatu 10° - CZ - Pale Lager - 4.2% - 3.1/5
On tap. Pale yellow color, short white head, lacing. Honey on the nose. Aroma: pils malts (czech plzen indeed), subtle honey, slightly fuity (ananas), nice hops. Taste bitter, light body, carbonated, dry finish. Seems like a pilsener mixed with an english ipa.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
From tap at Richtar Jakub. Clear light yellow color with white head. Sulphury notes dominates in aroma. Clear crispy with light body. Bitterness dominates over maltiness and lingers long in aftertaste. Some diacetyl in flavor. Very drinkable however Ales from Matuska are better IMO.

Keg at Euston Tap. Light, minerals, little bit of bitterness, something strange in there. Pomegranate? Watermelon? Nice but a bit bland.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Keg draught at the Euston Tap. Not much aroma - a little hint of sweaty socks from the yeast. A hazy pale yellow colour. Not much happening flavour-wise - like a weak Thin body. May work well for lager fans on a blistering hot day but lager styles aren’t really my thing so my rating may be skewed by that bias.

Fľaša. Zlatá farba, biela pena. Vôňa byliniek, sladu a chmelu. V chuti prázdne telo, chuť byliniek a chmelu. Pre mňa asi najslabšie pivo od Matušku.

(Draught at Pivovarsky Klub, Prague, 17 July 2014) Pale golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, malty nose with freshly cut grass, peaches and a touch of lime peel. Malty, slightly fruity taste with notes of grass, bready malt, a touch of peaches and a gentle grassy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with balanced sweetness. Nothing extra-ordinary, but well balanced and easy to drink. Quite nice.

Tap at Le Senk. Clear yellow colour. White head, moderate duration. Aroma equal parts hoppy and yeasty. Not too good. Taste is once again yeasty, seems a very young beer. Not very impressing. Drinkable, but that is about the best thing that can be said about it. Okay beer, nothing more.
