COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sure.. the scientists have published essays, the philosophers poems, the naysayers flyers.. but here at the center of the Maui Brewing micro-verse, we are publishing the ultimate in doomsday aloha – this year’s last canned seasonal, Aloha B’ak’tun! The word aloha conveys both greeting and goodbye in the Hawaiian language and B’ak’tun refers to the 3000+year cycle of the Mayan Calendar which is ending. This apocalyptic Belgian-style stout is brewed with Hawaiian chocolate, locally-grown chipotle chilies and cinnamon spice.

Can from Hippo beers, Glasgow. It pours darkest brown with a small beige head. The nose is roasted malt, earth, coffee, salted caramel and dark chocolate. The taste is roasty, toast, coffee, cocoa, earth, mild acidity, light bitterness, light spice and oily with a dry, roasty finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Nice canned stout. Pretty drinkable.

Can from Utobeer drunk at home. Black beer thick tan head. Intense tarry choccy aroma. It’s a drinkable stout. Good choc tar and intensity. Bit over fizzy maybe. Yep simple, choccy but very drinkable

Bottle. Black beer with a good but soon disappearing light brown head. The aroma is mildly roasted, and the flavour has some bitterness and a smooth roasted nature. Overall a good but basic stout like beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can from Beverages4less, San Diego. Thanks Freddy! Black pour, tan head. Aroma is of roasted malts, quite spicy, some chocolate, tobacco and slightly peppery. Flavor is bitter roasted, smooth and spicy. A hint of afterburning chilies, but very subtle. Solid stout, but less exciting that the description on the can made me think it would be.

Nice earthy chocolate aroma and pours a fairly deep tan brown head. Medium bodied and sort of borders on the close to silky. Black. Head deteriorates over time. Nothing complex but some depths and pretty enjoyable considering I drank it relatively cold. If I lived in Maui I’d be pretty tickled that this brewery was near by.

Brown color, tan head. Cocoa powder, chili peppers, roasted malt, some roasted nuts, burned toast. Nice beer but needs to pack a bigger punch IMO.

Pours pitch black with a brown head and aroma of spices and chocolate. Taste is sweet and creamy, nice milk chocolate, spices, roasted malt, liquorice, and light chilies leading to a spicy, chocolate finish. Solid stout
