COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sure.. the scientists have published essays, the philosophers poems, the naysayers flyers.. but here at the center of the Maui Brewing micro-verse, we are publishing the ultimate in doomsday aloha – this year’s last canned seasonal, Aloha B’ak’tun! The word aloha conveys both greeting and goodbye in the Hawaiian language and B’ak’tun refers to the 3000+year cycle of the Mayan Calendar which is ending. This apocalyptic Belgian-style stout is brewed with Hawaiian chocolate, locally-grown chipotle chilies and cinnamon spice.

Brown color, tan head. Cocoa powder, chili peppers, roasted malt, some roasted nuts, burned toast. Nice beer but needs to pack a bigger punch IMO.

Can poured a back hue w/ big fizzy tan head fully diminishing. Big chocolate aroma. Initial flavor is moderate sweet with a moderate bitter finish of short duration. Tastes are roasted malts, chocolate, bold roast coffee, cinnamon, clove, and a light heat of chipotle after the finish. Full bodied, soft carbonation, light syrupy mouthfeel, and light warmth in the finish.

Pours a solid black with a foamy brown head and lacing. The aroma is light but with lots of cinnamon, chocolate, and some other spices. The flavor is chocolate and yeast notes up front with a slightly spicy backbone and finish over a smooth, medium body. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Különleges dobozából éjfekete színű ital csordogál elő, melyen sárgás, bézs színű, rövid életű hab képződik, majd belgákra jellemző, édes beütésű aszalt paradicsom illata száll fel, így téve világossá számunkra a különlegesség netovábbjának perceken belüli megtestesülését. A feliratokon jelzett, édeskés jellegű fűszerezettség kevésbé, a paprika pikáns zamatai már annál inkább kirajzolódnak a végízében, amit egy közepesen szénsavas, telt keretbe ágyazott test érzete előz meg. Könnyedén csúszik, nem a végletek itala, mégis kellőképpen exkluzív, speciális karakter.

Spiced chocolatey aroma. Black color with a tan head that settles down to wisps. Excellent roast-chocolate flavor with a very light touch of the cinnamon and heat of the chilies in the finish at the back of the throat. Delicious

12-oz. can poured into a Maui Brewing shaker. Appearance is that of strong coffee with a half-finger, very uniform dark beige head. Muddled nose of cinnamon, baker’s chocolate, cloves, prunes, and a touch of chili. Flavor is bittersweet at first with chocolate, cinnamon, and agave syrup notes before a faint ester note emerges. The chipotle comes through on the aftertaste with a moderate tongue-prickling heat, but it doesn’t lend much spice to the taste. Silky texture, light body, and low carbonation with a spicy finish that carries for quite a while. It’s worth trying but doesn’t surpass very many of the other similar chocolate-chili stouts I’ve tried.
