The nose is of powdery chocolate and is very faint. Hints of bitterness and a heap of nuttiness join the aroma once it is in the mouth.

Pours a classic clear amber with a medium off white head that stays throughout. Nose is very weak. A little malt, some spice, and a hoppy smell I did not expect. MBC’s description says, "a malty Amber Ale," but the flavor is surprisingly hoppy. There is a good amount of lighter, sweeter malts, but really, I taste piney hops. The beer is relatively easy to drink, but I’ve had better ambers.
