Aubrey (2614), Denver, Colorado, USA Jan 13, 2008 Tap at brewery: Chestnut hue. Smooth, creamy-soft texture. Malts were earthy, sweet (Belgian candi sugar flavors), and sticky. Alcohol was big and warming. Aromas were pleasant. Delicate flowers, spices (clove), herbs and fruit (pear, banana and big cherry right in the finish). On the sweet end of the spectrum. Enjoyable beer. DeadGuyFrank (345), http://westchesterbeer.com, USA Nov 10, 2007 Very well done, surpirsing choice of style considering the brewery is on a island some 10,000 miles away from Belgium! Like Trappiest Achel 8, very much in the hints of plum and ripe berries. Good malt balance - robust and delicious. bu11zeye (3780), Frisco, Texas, USA Nov 6, 2007 (Draught) Pours a murky brown body with a moderate beige head. Aroma of mustiness, plum, light toastiness, cherry, and light spices. Flavor of dates, raisins, candi sugar, faint wheat, and coriander. Frauditor (127), Hagerstown, Maryland, USA Jul 14, 2007 great job by the Maui brewing co. on this one. Full of fruit tones and a nice dusting of malts. thick frothy head which provides nice lacing. quite enjoyable. drank this at the maui brewing company brewpub. padrefan98 (645), (San Diego) Santee, California, USA May 31, 2007 Sampled at the brewery in beautiful Maui.
