4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Clear deep amber with a thin laceful head. Interesting nose with deep amber malts and some sort of fruitiness that’s like cranberry or some sort of tropical fruit. The flavor is a wonder. Lots of amber ale maltiness like caramel and a little toffee, but with that slightly dusty classic Belgian yeast tone, and a little berry. Not too strong on the berry flavor, it’s not very tart or assertive, but is just right offering a nice nuanced bitterness and flavor to a very well done Belgian amber.
