Bottle courtesy of hopdog in trade. Thanks!
Pours an attractive dark, murky amber with a lasting beige head. Smell is nice and fruity with citrus, peaches, and grapefruit scented hops in particular. Taste is sweet and fruity with a hoppy backing to it. Very nice fruity taste of peaches and sweet ruby red grapefruit with a good dose of refreshing hops to it. Very well balanced and super drinkable. Full mouthfeel, slightly creamy and nice moderate carbonation. Add the fact that it comes in a can and this is one hell of a fun beer to drink. Really solid all around. Thanks again for this one!

Can: Golden to amber in color. Aromas are of citric and floral hops and maybe a touch of spice. In the mouth it is medium-bodied with a tart midpalate and a bit of added dryness on the finish. Really enjoyable and drinkable on a warm day.

In a can from O’Briens. Pours a hazy amber color with a foamy off-white head. Nice juicy citrus hop aroma, some toasty and caramel malts, along with floral notes. Pleasant American (mostly West Coast) IPA character, solid malt backbone supports lots of c-hop flavors of citrus and evergreen with a light spiciness - quite nice and somewhat unexpected from this Hawaiian canned brew. Medium body with creamy smooth carbonation.

UPDATED: MAY 8, 2008 Canned 6-er from BevMo. I simply love the idea of good craft beer in a can. The aroma and taste of this is not overwhelmingly good for the style, but my over impression is higher based on the canned aspect. Something simple and "green" about this so I would regularly buy their beer for the entrepreneurship of canning craft beer. I also bought some of their coconut porter which I will review soon. My wife is having one now.....

12oz can from BevMo Mission Valley. Big floral hop aromas, with some citrus and pine to boot. Its nice to be able to have a great IPA by the pool and not have to worry about breaking the glass. A great IPA either way!

Can from BevMo. Medium copper color upon pouring. Nice citric hop aroma. A little bit of syrupy sweetness. Sweet grapefruit up front. Good hop bitterness with quite a bit of maltiness. Good balanced IPA.

Can at O’briens. Pours with an amber body topped by a thick, off-white head with some lacing. It’s slightly sweet and malty with a light grapefruity hop note and a little apricot. Reminds me more of a Pale Ale than an IPA. Medium bodied and smooth.

UPDATED: APR 19, 2008 Draft. Amber body, somewhat malty nose with light hop presence. Substantially underhopped for the style, with its balance much toward the malt side, fruity, slightly grainy. Drinkable. 6 3 7 3 14 RERATE: At the brewpub on draft, this is much hoppier.
