COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
India Pale Ale was developed in Burton, England, as a "Super-Premium" hoppy pale ale around 1800. The extra strength in alcohol and hops helped preserve the beer on its long export journeys to India and beyond. The style developed a following worldwide. Its flavor begins with a smooth, malty creaminess followed with a big burst of dry-hop flavor from English Kent Golding Hops. It then finishes with a lingering yet pleasant bitterness.

Big Swell IPA is a fresh handcrafted India Pale Ale brewed with huge amounts of American hops and malted barley...dry hopped to perfection!

An Ipa in a can brought back from Maui. Interesting. Scary. Then WOW! What a beer. Exactly the taste I was looking for in my craving for a good Ipa. I could drink this one all night.

Can poured a hazed amber/gold color with a nice white head. Aroma was fresh pine and citrus hops followed by sweet caramel. Taste had a smooth bitterness and mild malt profile. Not over the top like most IPA’s, but a nice balanced example of the style.

New 12 oz can - Dark hazy amber, fizzy light tan head. Hoppy nose of peachy pine, grapefruit, and ripe melon. Flavor is all hops with melon and pine dominating. Touches of grapefruit and caramel malt round this out nicely. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, dry bitter finish. I’d sit on any Hawaiian beach for a day and drink can after can. That goes for the coconut porter too. Nicely done IPA...

Draught. Sweet aroma with some hops. Hop aspect more subtle than in APA. No head at all. No bubbles. Copper. Definitely hoppier than the Maui Pale Ale. Very good and similarly balanced. Sweet and hoppy. Excellent. Piney, peppery. Well done.

Visited this place on my honeymoon.....Suprised finding a good microbrewery in a tropical place, usually they are beer wastelands..cough cough Caribbean, thank God for its close proximity to California. Anyway, it pours out a light copper color with a thin white head.Intense pine/citrus aroma that carries over to the taste. Very hoppy taste with a creamy malt backbone, I very solid IPA.

A decent IPA with soiid citrus and hop spice. A bit too creamy on the palate but the aggressive hops helps out.
