COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
India Pale Ale was developed in Burton, England, as a "Super-Premium" hoppy pale ale around 1800. The extra strength in alcohol and hops helped preserve the beer on its long export journeys to India and beyond. The style developed a following worldwide. Its flavor begins with a smooth, malty creaminess followed with a big burst of dry-hop flavor from English Kent Golding Hops. It then finishes with a lingering yet pleasant bitterness.

Big Swell IPA is a fresh handcrafted India Pale Ale brewed with huge amounts of American hops and malted barley...dry hopped to perfection!

Cloudy dark golden with a small white head. Sweet and juicy pine hops, with small hints of peach and grapefruit. Sweetish malty flavour with bready notes, and a citrus hop flavour. Excellent malt/hop balance in the aftertaste

Can, 6.2%. OK caramelly hop aroma. Hazy orange colour. Small white head. The flavour is also caramelly, a bit rough, but with a clean bitterness.

Can 35,5 cl. Courtesy of MaltOMeal. Hazy golden with a dense off-white head. Fresh aroma of citrus and pine. Medium body with a solid and lightly sweet malt base - some caramel. Fresh and peachy hop accents dominate without making it particularly bitter. 210309

12oz can. Cloudy gold/copper hue with a huge white head. Crisp and piney American hop aroma with a touch of malt. Equally crisp flavor with a very grassy hop character.

12 ounce can from JohnnyJ. Pours golden with some sticky white head. The aroma is earthy hops with a biscuity malt character. The flavor takes those same characteristics, and adds a bit of a buttery note. Medium body and easy to drink. Bready finish. I’d love to have this around.

APPEARANCE: Pours a hazy orange gold color with a huge white rocky head that dissipates slowly. Very long lasting sticky lacing. AROMA: Big aroma of sweet citrus, pineapple and floral honeysuckle. Light biscuit like malt. FLAVOR: Surprisingly light taste. Light caramel, citrusy fruit and apricot. There is some light lingering piney hop bitterness. MOUTHFEEL: Light bodied beer with a slightly syrupy texture. Light Fizzy carbonation. DRINKABILITY: Very light and easy drinking IPA. It smells and looks like an Imperial IPA but tastes like a light pale ale. This would be a nice session beer, especially due to the fact in comes in a can. NOTES: BBCSD-0902-DanM

Spent 3 months in Hawaii and this was the best beer I had from the islands. Maui cans all beer. Sweet hoppy flavor. Smooth finish. Not a huge aftertaste in my opinion. Great for laying in your hammock watching the waves on the big island.
