May 4, 2008 Can from BevMo. Pale yellow in color with a fairly sizable white head. Sweet grainy aroma. Flavor is grainy with a little bit of maltiness. A little bit of hop character. Doesn’t really taste like a pale lager. Pretty easy drinking, but nothing special.

Apr 12, 2008 Can. Slightly hazy golden body, lots of rising carbonation, creamy white head without much staying power. Sour lagerish nose, grainy flavor, slight sourness, not much in the hop department. A bit of sweetness, very mild finishing bitterness. Drinkable, not much else.

Mar 27, 2008 12 oz can from foodland, Kapa’a, Kauai. The description of this beer is completely wrong. Maybe this description is referring to an old recipe. The can now refers to this as a "bold Helles Lager with a nice hoppy bite". This is nowhere near a pale lager as Ratebeer suggests.
This is an excellent lager. Nice and clean, drinkable, hoppy, tasty. You’re on an island, what else do you want?

Mar 21, 2008 Very blonde in color. This was sweet like the rest of the Maui Brewing Co beers I tried and was, at times, edgy, but overall not up to the others. Had a nutty, malt flavor. Kind of like boiled peanuts.
