Our lightest beer, made from 100% malted barley. This blonde lager is what sailors really swam to shore for; it’s light, with very little bitterness and a slight malt finish.

This has become, in short order, my favorite Hawaii beer. Stayed away from Maui brewing because I despise their Big Swell IPA, but the Bikini Blonde is certainly a decent beer. It’s perhaps the heaviest lager you’ll ever find in a can. Malty without skunk and it finishes like a champ. Really nice session beer.

355ml can from Club de Cervezas. Pours an unfiltered hazy yellow color with a small white head that diminishes quickly and laces small. Soft malty and hoppy aroma, well-balanced with notes of flowers, grains, baked bread, biscuit, cardboard and hay. Problem is that it’s very subdued, restrained. Not bad but too shy! Taste is mostly neutral with bready, grainy sweetness and scarce to no bitterness. Flavors of grain, bread, pumpkin and even sweet potato. A bit watery. Timid. Relatively clean, crisp taste. Medium carbonation. Lacks distinctive character by having either a stronger, heavier malty profile or greener hops. Overall an OK summer refreshment but nothing to write home about.

Can at home. Aroma is grainy malt, straw, hint of fruits, light hoppy. A touch of honey. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Body is almost medium. I found it a bit on the sweet side. Simple but decent grainy Lager, it gets the job done.

355ml can. Slightly milky, yellow-ish, golden colour with small, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Minimally husky, pale malty aroma, a touch of protein, a fruity touch of yellow stone fruit. Taste is minimally sweet, pale malty, slightly fruity, hints of yellow stone fruit, hints of husk and protein, a lemon dash. Simple, clean and focused - nice.

Dirty gold brew with small fast fading head. Smells of old green grapes and taste is lacking as well. At almost $11 a six pack was expecting something better than this crap. What a major disappointment and really upset that there are 5 more sitting in the fridge. Next time I get something from this brewery it will be sampler singles.

355ml Can from Good Spirits Wine & Beer, Glasgow (£2.80):
Very light & enjoyable, coming through fresh & well-balanced with a clean & crisp feel. It went down easy with good carbonation & nice grassy hops & a floral taste with some lemon, biscuit & pale malts that worked very well together & made the beer.

From the can, pours light golden, ok white head. Smells like a light beer, but only in that there isn’t much to it. None of the stale corn so often found in blonde lagers. Surprisingly good taste. Again, not a whole lot there, but floral hop tones to an otherwise standard blonde ale flavor. Goes down very smooth and easy. Drink it ice cold and it’s a great beer for a hot day.

Impressive off-white head on a clear gold brew. Babe on the can looks to have been peeled from a Coppertone bottle. Dusty, dry malt aroma. Pleasantly sweet, rather plain lager - unpretentious. No bitterness whatsoever. Finishes sweet. Medium to slightly light body. I’d take another free one, but I wouldn’t cross the street to do so. Loses carbo. ABC Liquors, Betton.

Tallahassee, FL - ABC Fine Wine and Spirits - Betton - 12 oz can. Mostly sparkling, medium golden pour, quickly fading light white head. Aroma of vanilla and a bit of honey. Flavor leans to the sweet side with some vanilla notes, a brief touch of yeast, some cracker-like breadiness. Mouthfeel is just thick enough. Passable.

Draft at Taps Beer Bar Changkat, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is yeast, light bitter hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a dry, light sweet malt, light floral citrus hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.
