COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Coconut Porter is a classic robust porter spiced with all natural toasted coconut. It is black in color and crowned with a creamy, dark tan head. It begins with a malty-toasted-coconut aroma followed by a rich, silky mouthfeel with tastes of dark malt, chocolate, and hints of coffee. It then finishes with flavors of toasted coconut and hoppy spice to balance the finish.

Pours nearly opaque dark brown with hues of Indian red when held up to direct light source. Tan head. Smells like an Almond Joy. Clean malt bill with toasted oats. Toasted coconut becomes more dominant in the nose with a bit of warmth. A bit too carbonated/bitter upfront but that is ultimately tempered by luxurious coconut flavors. The sweetness is veiled over a balanced porter style with hints of cocoa, mocha flavored coffee and slight nuttiness. Dry finish. Nice option for your porter and/or novelty beer cravings.

Absolutely gorgeous beer. Fine blend of roasty malts, sweet flavors, strong presence of hops and that unique roasted coconut. Never had anything quite like this before (can, bought in Ølbutikken, Cph, 2012).

355ml can to a Guinness glass; served cold. Aroma: Loads of chocolate. Nutty. A little floral/grass hop. Appearance: Opaque, dark brown body. Large, frothy, tan head. Thick lacing. Taste: Rich and chocolatey. A little bit of hop. A little bit of roast. Nicely balanced. Palate: Medium bodied. Medium length on the finish, ends on a very gentle hop bitterness. Overall: Nice enough porter. Not too heavy or thick, but excellent flavor.

12 oz can from Evergreen Discount. Black appearance with a light brown head and moderate lacing. Aroma of milk chocolate, cocoa, mild coffee, roast, dark toasted malts, earthy hops and light coconut. Similar flavor, rich, malty, ashy and lightly bitter with a light metallic finish. Light fluffy body, easy to drink. "Gonna follow my nose to where the coconut grows, nobody knows like I know my nose knows"

12 ounce bottle pouring into glass. Head originally and quickly died down. Slight lacing. Caramel and sweet aroma. Carbonation is nice drinking. Not bad for maui

Can to glass at Wachi. Jet black, thin tan head. Chocolate is much more prominent in the nose than coconut, along with espresso. Velvety mouthfeel. Coffee, dark chocolate, and the slightest hint of coconut. Not what was advertised, but still quite nice.

Can pour into pint glass, lots of foamy tan head, black opaque color. Aroma is toasty and slight coffee. Interesting beer, I have been wanting to try for a while now. Enjoyable very well balanced. Medium body with smooth aftertaste. It is simpler than I expected and less sweet than I would have thought. Good example of a Porter you do get a hint of coconut and the toasted flavor is present and a touch of chocolate. Nice easy drinking beer that would pair well with food.

Can courtesy of Rachel. Pours a deep brown colour with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted chocolate with subtle hint of coconut. Medium body, medium sweetness, coconut biscuit finish. Good beer.
