She’s pretty good, I guess. Honestly, I was hoping for a big coconut blast from this one considering the guy on the label is guzzling out of a coconut. It’s big, bold and pretty black with ruby highlights. LOos of great cocoa and coffee malts, some roasty bread and nuttiness....but where’s my damn coconut? Kind of a syrupy texture to it, very soft carbonation.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
I tried this beer assuming that it would be an interesting, albeit unpalatably sweet beer, but it was surprisingly quaffable. The chocolatey bitterness was accentuated by the sweet coconut, which wasn’t too overwhelming.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours nearly opaque dark brown with hues of Indian red when held up to direct light source. Tan head. Smells like an Almond Joy. Clean malt bill with toasted oats. Toasted coconut becomes more dominant in the nose with a bit of warmth. A bit too carbonated/bitter upfront but that is ultimately tempered by luxurious coconut flavors. The sweetness is veiled over a balanced porter style with hints of cocoa, mocha flavored coffee and slight nuttiness. Dry finish. Nice option for your porter and/or novelty beer cravings.

Absolutely gorgeous beer. Fine blend of roasty malts, sweet flavors, strong presence of hops and that unique roasted coconut. Never had anything quite like this before (can, bought in Ølbutikken, Cph, 2012).

355ml can to a Guinness glass; served cold.
Aroma: Loads of chocolate. Nutty. A little floral/grass hop.
Appearance: Opaque, dark brown body. Large, frothy, tan head. Thick lacing.
Taste: Rich and chocolatey. A little bit of hop. A little bit of roast. Nicely balanced.
Palate: Medium bodied. Medium length on the finish, ends on a very gentle hop bitterness.
Overall: Nice enough porter. Not too heavy or thick, but excellent flavor.

Similar flavor, rich, malty, ashy and lightly bitter with a light metallic finish. Light fluffy body, easy to drink. "Gonna follow my nose to where the coconut grows, nobody knows like I know my nose knows"
