3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Can via Craft Shack, pours a deep dark black brown pour with a nice java head. Nose is roasted coffee and chocolate, can’t say the coconut is really there. Taste is espresso, malt and chocolate, and very little coconut if any. Finish is sweet and ends on the same tasting notes. Great porter but still looking for the coconut flavor. Quaff Score 7/ 10

This is the first coconut porter that I have had and I am definitely interested in trying another. This beer caught my eye and was recommended by a friend. It had a definite coconut taste, but not overpowering. It had a slight coconut aroma, but as many stouts, it has a slight coffee/chocolate taste.

Pours a nice brown with some beige head. Nose is coconut and dark malts. Flavour follows through on the nose. Really well done robust porter.

Can, courtesy of Kermis. Pours a very black beer with a small, beige head on top. Aroma has coconut, nuts, peanut butter and caramel. Flavour is very big on the coconut, roasted malts and some molasses sugar notes in there. Long, sweet, nutty finish. Very nice on the coconut. Nice beer.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
The beer pours outstanding with a solid deep brown color that passes through no light at all, a nice foamy brown head, and great lacing on the glass throughout. The beer smells great with a nice blend of sweet chocolate and coffee. The taste is great with chocolate malty taste up front that fades into a coffee aftertaste with a hint of the coconut on the back end. The mouthfeel is outstanding as the beer was perfectly carbonated and the mouth is mildly malty. Overall, I dont like porters but this one was real solid. My wife said it best "If you didnt know this had coconut, you wouldnt identify the taste of it"...but you do get it mildly on the back end and it doesnt overpower the beer at all, nicely compliments it.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Can. Dark chocolate, roast, bast, coconut aroma. Darkest brown, tanned head. Chocolaty goodness, coconut, roast, vanilla, good hoppy counterpoint to break the sweetness.
Smooth chewy mouthfeel. Great desert beer.
