On tap @ Papago Brewing. Pours deep black with a mocha head. Aroma is roasted malt, faint coffee, bitter baking chocolate, some caramel, a little coconut and some hops. Taste is sweet roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and hops with a finish of coconut and hops. Full bodied mild carbonation, very balanced and easy to drink porter. Good beer!

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Can from Cold Beers and Cheeseburgers. Pours black with an inch of khaki foam. Leaves a little lacing in the glass. Big notes of roasted malt and dark chocolate on the nose. Big,big chocolate on the tongue. Has a touch of coconut sweetness on the finish. The coconut in these beers is never big enough but otherwise it’s a very nice beer.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Can from Beers of Europe. Dark black colour, initially a monster brownish head although it died quickly. Malty, slightly boozy aroma. Not sure I’d have got coconut if I hadn’t known, but there is definitely an extra element of smoothness and taste in there. Otherwise a very well made porter, at the stout end of the spectrum, quite roasty, some bitterness but not excessive. Drank very easily. Nice.

can It tastes like a Porter with coconut character ..really exactly what it claims to be . its not a beer i’d wan’t to drink lots of -too strange for my palate but i like the concept . even pouring this beer into a tulip felt redundant -with its brilliant beige can and sexist fun on the can- I wanna drink this out the can !
its cola coloured -with a beige head that tries to last a while..COCONUT and chocolate nose . the coconut is the star , while the actual ’beer’ itself is star , like youngs chocolate stout -wtf is going on there thats not beer ,dude , .... This is an interesting beer ,one you’d remember -good or bad .!

For whatever reason, perhaps being fooled by advertising ploys in the past, I didn’t actually expect to detect any coconut in this brew. However, it has a great coconut aftertaste that really brings the beer nicely to a finish. A good solid porter with a early unique twist. Either just to try something different or to enjoy a nice rich porter, I would recommend.
