From a can. Rich fresh coffee aroma. Classic porter appearance, pours black with a large and frothy light brown head. Dark coffee flavour with subtle coconut notes. Medium bodied with some bitterness in the finish. Good stuff.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Appearance: pours with a medium darker tan head, the head settles into a small head with OK density, the beer is black with the slightest brown hue on the edges if you hold it up to the light
Aroma: chocolate, very slight hint of coconut, some kind of spice is evident too
Taste: chocolate, chocolate milk, bitter finish
Palate: bitter aftertaste, medium mouthfeel, lively carbonation
Overall: a robust porter with lots of Aroma and flavor, strong chocolate throughout, easily drinkable as well

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Ebony color with thick latte colored head. It has coffee aromas with a him of chocolate. The chocolate is the dominating flavor with some smokey malt and coffee flavors. Well balanced and flavorful this beer is certainly a winner.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Can, opaque black body, vigorous pour foamed hugely, but that settled quickly to just a ring. Aroma roasty with dark fruit, nuts, coconut, coffee. Taste is plum and roast barley, cola like, nutty and coffee finish. Overall slightly sweet. Palate is light, carbonation is a bit heavy for style. If I had to sum up, I’d say Porter cola.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Normally I’d avoid a beer with coconut added, but this works. Pours black with small tan head and lacing. Tastes of chocolate coffee, s’mores. Robust toasty malt to balance the sweetness. Great with dessert, or as dessert. A delicious favorite.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured from the can, into a pint glass. Appears black, medium tan colored head. Aromas of powdered chocolate mix, roasted nut, faint coconut and a slight spice. Taste is as expected. Notes of chocolate and roast mimic the nose...and the coconut remains light on the palate. Medium-low body on this doesn’t allow the flavors to resonate very long. Finishes rather abrupt for a porter, but provides a final bittering dose of coffee/hops. Solid brew. Interesting take on the style for sure.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Light coconut and some roast here makes for a nice well rounded package. Idea works well here. Pours dark brown/black with decent initial head and lacing. Bitter finish with some caramel and chocolate sweetness. Can.
