3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Generally I try to rate a beer within itís style, even if iím not a fan. Unfortunately for this beer, I had it in a flight of other coconut/porters/stouts and it stood no chance of a decent rating. The aroma is mostly booze with a hint of roasted malt. The flavor is similar with the roasted malts and coconut barely discernable over the burn. Not my deal

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Chuckís 85 St. Dark colored, not much head and somewhat cloudy. A little lace lingers with each sip. Aroma of coffee and espresso with a bit of smoky coconut. Sweet tasting, with bread and a tad bit of sourness. Very light for a porter. Not much carbonation and a fairly short finish.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pour is a black with a rather large tan head for a porter. Aroma is a decent roasty malt with some cocoa power. Flavor is a thick heavy mouth feel with some silky chocolate and chewy roasted malt. A bit of coconut comes after the swallow along with a nice sweet oily malt. This is a great porter just kinda disappointed that there was not much coconut to this.
