Our Coconut Porter is a classic robust porter spiced with all natural toasted coconut. It is black in color and crowned with a creamy, dark tan head. It begins with a malty-toasted-coconut aroma followed by a rich, silky mouthfeel with tastes of dark malt, chocolate, and hints of coffee. It then finishes with flavors of toasted coconut and hoppy spice to balance the finish.

12oz can pours dark brown black with 2 finger white head. Nose is some light malty cocoa, not much detectable coconut, touch of chocolatey spice. Taste is a little thin but smooth, moderate roast cocoa bean and light milky coffee, again very little coconut is present. Finish is lightly bitter chocolate, coffee bean, cream, cocoa.

355 ml can from Stockmann in Tallinn (€ 6,79), Sept 2014. It pours a beautiful deep dark brown and a dark tan head that drops fast and leaves minimal lacing. Nose is... jesusfcknchrist... a beautiful and rich melange of sweet chocolate, well-roasted coffee and oven-cooked coconut chips, also a certain raisiny, dark plum and boozy spiciness. Splendid! Taste begins with a dark roastiness accompanied by the thin carbonation, then follows a very sweet chocolate and dry coconut, whereas the finish brings in a nice hoppy bitterness. Body is medium, carbonation stays thin yet crisp until the very end, palate is malty dryness. A beautiful, well-balanced joyride of a beer. I personally would’ve loved it to be a tad bit more boozy and with somewhat less fizz.

Pours brown-black with a thick tan head. Aroma is rich roasted malts, raisins, dates, coffee and faint mellow coconut. Taste is all of the above with the almost chocolaty malts taking precedence. Nice!

Murky and dark with a good head. Aroma malty and toasty. Nice roasty porter with some coffee. Excellent porter but little coconut character.

Received this as an extra in a recent trade. Served out of the can into a mini pint.

A - Pours pitch black, with hints of dark browns, with a nice creamy one finger tall tan head leaving little to no lacing down the glass.

S - Dark roasted malts blend well with the coconut and some faint sweet chocolate. A bit of booze comes thru as it warms up. Pretty well balanced nose.

T - A pleasant mix of sweet coconut and plenty of dark roasted malt up front, lingering thru the finish, mix well with hints of sweet chocolate, coffee, and some creamy milk. Finish is a bit roasty but it doesn’t linger for long. I really enjoyed this one. The coconut really helped round out the porters rough edges.

M - Heavy body and flavor with moderate carbonation. Decent feel up front getting a bit watery toward the end. Finish is roasty but not to the point of being overpowering.

D - Very high. Damn I really wish I had a few more of these. I really enjoyed this one. The flavors mixed very well together. One of the best dark beers I have had from a can to date.

Dark and heavy with a very strong chocolate aroma. The coconut is very mild. Fantastic porter.
