Our Coconut Porter is a classic robust porter spiced with all natural toasted coconut. It is black in color and crowned with a creamy, dark tan head. It begins with a malty-toasted-coconut aroma followed by a rich, silky mouthfeel with tastes of dark malt, chocolate, and hints of coffee. It then finishes with flavors of toasted coconut and hoppy spice to balance the finish.

This has the distinction of being my first craft beer poured from a can. It’s also my first "coconut porter" (but I have had a "coconut milk porter" before). And it is amazing. Dark, rich, bitter-sweet, the rough toasted edge of the coconut floating nicely above the rich, sweet chocolate and orange notes of the hoppy porter. Perfection.

(355ml can @ VilleValla Pub, Linköping, Oct 8 2015) Pours opaque black with a moderate pale tan head. Aroma of sweetish medium roast malts with chocolate, a bit of dark fruit, hints of nuts and coconut too. On the palate, moderately sweet dark malts, chocolate again at the core, a bit of dark rye bread, slightly ashy roast, toasted coconut coming through a bit in the finish but not as dominant as expected. Aftertaste lightly bitter with ashy roast and hops. Light-medium body, average carbonation, not bad as a porter but I expected a bit more coconut to be honest.

Burk stora örebro. Brunsvart kulör. Söt doft av choklad, kaffe och kokosvatten. Smaken drar ät chokladpudding med kokosmjöl. Lite rostad ton. Spännande öl som är speciell utan på något sätt vara spretigt konstig

Heavy aroma of coconut and hops that I can’t say is too appetizing. Slightly clear black body with minimal head. Flavour is burnt barley with a dry finish. Weak on the mouth. It’’s not working together well enough.

For 6% this is a relatively mild tasting porter but boasting full, dark taste. Great if you want to drink 2 or 3. Tall creamy head, with mild coconut vanilla aroma. Don’t be fooled by the can, this is a full-flavor porter!

Slightly hazy dark brown with some shinny coper/ ruby hues and a faint off white head. Aroma is coconut espresso, flavor is same coconut and espresso with some ashes and a gentle bitter aftertaste. Medium to light body, easy drinking. Complex but a tad to watery and bland.

Visual: 4-pack aluminum can. Pours jet black with a large dissipating head, swampy retention, stickly lacing, lots and lots of tight micro streams along the perimeter. Nose: sweet malty roasted coffee. (lvl-6)-pungency Attack: crisp, incoming malts Mid-palate: light fizzy, (lvl-6)-sweetness, (MAIN) subtle toasted coconut, medium-roast malt Finish: chocolate, off-dry bitter roast, COLA, sour undertones, residual dry cacao nib Summary: Good agreeable texture and flavours, with the toasted coconut adding a slight nutty element.

Opaque black with a mid sized beige head. Delicious malt, caramel, milk chocolate, slight coconut, and roast aromatics. Mid bodied for a porter. Interesting and complex flavour that certainly evolves and lingers. Initial taste is slightly sweet and smooth, but mild coconut, caramel, and milk chocolate, but the finish consists of roast, dark chocolate and slight bitterness. Great porter, but I would have preferred a more pronounced coconut taste.
