Tastes like Guinness with a bit of a coconut finish. Could be stronger, but a good Hawaiian beer.

Roasty and sweet like a good porter but I’m not finding any coconut flavor. Creamy mouth. Feel.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Chuck’s 85 St. Dark colored, not much head and somewhat cloudy. A little lace lingers with each sip. Aroma of coffee and espresso with a bit of smoky coconut. Sweet tasting, with bread and a tad bit of sourness. Very light for a porter. Not much carbonation and a fairly short finish.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pour is a black with a rather large tan head for a porter. Aroma is a decent roasty malt with some cocoa power. Flavor is a thick heavy mouth feel with some silky chocolate and chewy roasted malt. A bit of coconut comes after the swallow along with a nice sweet oily malt. This is a great porter just kinda disappointed that there was not much coconut to this.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
355 ml can from Stockmann in Tallinn (€ 6,79), Sept 2014. It pours a beautiful deep dark brown and a dark tan head that drops fast and leaves minimal lacing. Nose is... jesusfcknchrist... a beautiful and rich melange of sweet chocolate, well-roasted coffee and oven-cooked coconut chips, also a certain raisiny, dark plum and boozy spiciness. Splendid! Taste begins with a dark roastiness accompanied by the thin carbonation, then follows a very sweet chocolate and dry coconut, whereas the finish brings in a nice hoppy bitterness. Body is medium, carbonation stays thin yet crisp until the very end, palate is malty dryness. A beautiful, well-balanced joyride of a beer. I personally would’ve loved it to be a tad bit more boozy and with somewhat less fizz.
