4.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Toasty malt aroma coupled with chocolate and coffee notes. Alcohol is also strongly picked up. Brown/Black in color.... much like the oil in my truck. Head is frothy and tan, settling fairly quickly after poured. Taste is a well-balanced bittersweet. As the glass empties, I pick up on the advertised coconut more and more. Proves to be medium-bodied porter with an oily texture. Carbonation is soft. The finish is where this brew really makes its money... The most unique finish I have ever experienced in a porter. Long and bitter with a peculiar "freshness" that is hard to describe. Might be the water they use to brew with over there in Hawaii... don’t know. Never been there. But I like it. This is a top-notch porter that I’ll probably want whenever I see it.

12oz can from Coral Bay in Greeley. Dark brown pour. Sweet caramel nose with marshmallow. Taste brings more molasses, and then eventually the coconut shows through and smooths it out even more. Solid porter. 14.3

Can from Steinbach LC. Dark body, brown head, nice lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, dried fruit, grains. Taste is semi-sweet, cocoa, chocolate milk, but I hardly get the coconut in this. Frothy coating palate. Quite nice.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Can. Near black in colour with moderate carbonation. Aromas are of milk chocolate, pale malt, and a bit of light roast coffee. Mostly chocolate and toasted malt flavors, but with some coconut water and a bit of red berry on the back end. Heavier in the mouth than expected. A solid porter, with a nice subtle addition of coconut.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Can. Dark brown, nearly black pour with a dark tan head. Roasty malt and chocolate notes, creamy with some tasty but subtle coconut. A nice spin on an already tasty porter. Maybe a touch overcarbonated.

Wonderful, smooth porter with slight coconut finish. Would prefer a more prominent coconut flavour.

ENG: 355ml can from Liquor Mart in Winnipeg, poured into the tulip. Brown to black, opaque but clean color with red highlights, nice medium, brown head. Fantastic aromas of vanilla, cocoa, dark chocolate, coffee. Very complex and deep. Taste of cocoa mostly, but also roasted coffee, coconut is a bit delicate. Aftertaste reminds me of powdered dark chocolate, this kind of tarty. Very nice! There is a bit of carbonation, which I like, it’s very delicate, but give some fullness to this porter. Full bodied. Overall I really love this beer! It’s tasty, smells amazing, palate is complex and interesting. It was a pleasure!
PL: Puszka 355ml kupiona w Liquor Mart w Winnipeg, przelana do tulipa. Barwa brunatna do czarnej, nieprzejrzysta ale klarowna, czerwonawe przebłyski, piana ładna, brązowa, średnia. Fantastyczne aromaty wanilii, kakao, ciemnej, gorzkiej czekolady.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Opaque black with thin but dense tan head. Medium full body with aggressively high carbonation.
Aroma: dark chocolae, carob, soy sauce, silage, black malt.
Taste: lots of dark malt, charred grain, chalky water, herbal hops. Very balanced.
No notable coconut character. Not a porter, a foreign extra stout or British imperial stout.

Black pour, thin tan head.Nose of light chocolate and soft coconut, hints of mild coffee. Bittersweet. Middle is coffee, toasted coconut and coco . Finish shows a light hop bitterness, with another kiss of coconut in the end. Try this.
