omhper (10438), Stockholm, Sweden Feb 25, 2008 Canned, thanks Bolagshataren! Very black, small beige head. Non-surprising cocoa aroma. Sweet and very roasty, creamy and soft, near full bodied. Cocoa domintes coffee. Tarry bitter finish. Unusual, and quite interesting. Papsoe (9999), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 13, 2007 (Can 35,5 cl) Courtesy of Bierkönig. Pours black and opaque with a creamy, light brown head. Lightly burned malt aroma with an edge of coconut. Medium body with an edge of lightly sweet, burned malt and some discreet but absolutely present coconut accents that aren’t stickingly sweet but actually quite refreshing in a piquant manner. There’s a lightly bitter malt astringency in the finish. Quite interesting. 131007 Oakes (6853), Miami Beach, Florida, USA May 24, 2008 Can Dark brown colour. Sweet chocolate coconut nose. Very fudgey with lots of coconut. It’s very prominent but does integrate well. I wouldn’t call it "my thing" though. yespr (6259), Copenhagen O, Denmark Oct 16, 2007 33 cL can, thanks to BierKönig. Pours dark and thick, almost black and with a huge chocolate brown head. Aroma is sweet and roasted with a soft note of chocolate, I don’t sense the coconut at all. Mouthfeel is vevelt soft, creamy. Very smooth chocolate flavour with some liqourice bite towards the finish. The beer remains soft into the finish but softly allows some bitterness to shine through. I may sense some coconut beneath the chocolate and in the smoothness, but it is by no means easy to tell. Very nice brew. kp (6200), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Dec 12, 2007 Date: 12/01/2007
