wow was I ever suprised.....really mild coconut flavor that is of a super high quality that blends effortlessy with the great porter base beer.....wow.......wow.....great stuff

Jul 26, 2008 This can easily get bonus points for being available now AND in cans. Just a really tasty beer in every way really. The aroma is chock-full of roasted malts, subtle toasted coconut, and some chocolate sweetness (reminded me in some ways of a Mounds candy bar). The flavor of this beer is full on roasty goodness with enough resigual sweetness left behind to make it a really intruiging beer. Caramel, cocnut, vanilla and chcolate are all found in the beauty. Great beer!!

Jul 26, 2008 Bonus can from AgentSteve. pours dark with a large cascading head. aroma is of roasted malt chocolate and a hint of the toasted coconut. mouthful is a little thin and the coconut is a little hard to find in the bitter cocoa and roasted malts.

Jul 23, 2008 Can. Very nice appearance, with a dark brown color and well lasting foam. Nose doesn’t have a lot of character but shows light traces of banana, toasted coconut and dark malts. Flavor shows notes of roast, coconut, cocoa and coffee. Silky mouth feel does impressive. It’s a nice beer with good balance, but I was expecting more vibrant flavors and aromas. Would like to try again, but was expecting this to be a little better.

Jul 21, 2008 Can… Pours almost black with a small, creamy, beige head. The aroma is an intoxicating swirl of cocoa, coconut and coffee. Full-bodied and chewy with moderate carbonation. Rich, malty-sweet, caramel, coconut and milk chocolate. Herbal (black tea), chocolaty finish.Thanks to rogueone for providing the can!

Jul 19, 2008 Courtesy of tpd975. Pours deep amber with tan head. The aroma starts with notes of dark maltiness followed by some caramel and then a load of chocolate. No coconut noticed in the nose at all. The taste is full on coconut to go along with some roastiness and malty sweetness. Those notes are followed by chocolate notes and some nuttiness.
